I have seen that in your profile on Researchgate has been published also a paper of Prof Sven Kullander and Prof Hanno Essen with a test made from them with the first prototype of the Ecat in 2011. Very interesting. It is obvious the enormous progress made by you in 8 years.

The ratio of the energy input vs the energy output is 1:6.
The amount of energy consumed to produce an E-Cat is about 100 kWh. The amount of energy that an E-Cat can produce is 10 kWh for 24 hours x 360 days x 30 years.

I would like to ask your most recent estimate about the ratio between the output energy of e-cat compared with its input energy.
Did you include in the input energy also the energy required to build the e-cat,
the fuel, etc.? Or what did you include? The evaluation (probably not easy to do), should require the whole cycle analysis.

Senza polemica,non è nè il tempo nè il luogo.Concordo sulla necessità di una etica che purtroppo è spesso scarsamente applicata.Basti pensare che una centrale a fissione da 1Gw consuma 200 ton/anno di uranio naturale,quando potrebbero essere state sviluppare centrali al torio alle quali basterebbero 1 ton/anno di questo.Ma le seconde hanno un difetto,non producono materiale utile,come invece fanno le prime,a costruire le spolette a fissione per innescare quella fusione incontrollata di cui lei giustamente si preoccupa.
Riguardo alle reaz nuc a bassa en,c’è chi pensa,a mio avviso plausibilmente,che già siano utilizzate da tempo per proiettili nucleari(un noto fisico ha scritto un libro a tal proposito),quindi ben venga l’e cat e altri futuri similari reattori per l’utilizzo etico di questa forma di energia.L’etica purtoppo viene formulata ma scrsamente applicata,quindi nelle scelte tecnologiche a mio parere è pragmaticamente saggio utilizzare il concetto del quoziente terapeutico che vige nel campo farmacologico.Valutare quindi il rapporto benefici/danni e nel caso di questa tecnologia è estremamente positivo.L’elenco va dalla risoluzione dell’effetto serra,all’effetto domino positivo sulla economia globale,al venir meno dei motivi che causano squilibri e conflitti geopolitici e così via.
La applicazione della fusione fredda o dirsivoglia,porta danno solo a quei pochi che vogliono mantenere quello status quo che oggi porta danno ai tanti.

Ma ringrazio soprattutto il sig. Manzelli che mi ha dato un imbeccata sul possibile fenomeno di innesco della reazione di fusine (io ero ancora fermo all’effetto Cohen di Fleischmann e Preparata)
Senza voler alimentare polemiche (non era nelle mie intezioni) ricordo al signor Guerrini che il posivismo scientifico fine a se stesso è crollato con il lancio della bomba di Hiroschima e che esiste un qualcosa che si chiama etica.
A tal proposito la famosa riflessioe di Robert Oppenheimer dopo Hiroshima :” I fisici hanno conosciuto il peccato e questa è una conoscenza che non possono dimenticare”.

E anche se FOSSE ?Tutta la tecnologia può essere usata per costruire o distruggere.Se dovessimo rinunciare ad essa per le sue prerogative potenzialmente distruttive,dovremmo bandire anche le clave.

1- Io non sono professore.
2- Il nostro processo non può avere applicazioni militari, le reazioni non hanno le necessarie velocità. Purtroppo ci sono ben altre e spaventosamente più efficaci tecnologie, biologiche e nucleari, che possono ormai essere utilizzate a costi relativamente bassi per scopi militari di qualsiasi genere.
E sottolineo purtroppo, ovviamente.

What technical challenges do you forsee in the near future, the next 3-5 years, for the E-CAT technology? Will you open up the technology to other research institutes to allow for further innovation? For example do you think that it’s theoretically possible to build nano/micro scale reactors which could replace batteries in 20 years time?
I also have to extend a congratulation to the discover. I hope the technology stands up against all political and academic scrutiny and that you get all the recognition and wealth that you deserve for all the hard work behind this extraordinary technology. When the political power that no doubt will follow in the trail of this technology finds you, please use it wisely. Auguri!!!

Can you optimize the operation by having for example 6 sets of 3 modules where you can have a rolling maintenance schedule every two months of three modules at a time? That way you will always have 15 modules in operation.

If you were to construct the 1MW plant using the smaller E-CAT recently demonstrated, does this imply a more frequent re-fueling schedule?
If a few hundred units are required to make up 1MW, this may mean a busy time for the operator.
How long can the small unit run for on a single charge of fuel?

In all the experiments, is the water supply regular tap water?
Skeptics may argue that a ‘fuel’ of sorts is dissolved in the water and burned in the E-CAT.
Has anyone taken a drink from the water source while the experiment is in progress?

In riferimento a quanto scritto da Nicola il 22 marzo, il referendum al quale parteciperanno gli italiani in giugno serve a decidere se abrogare parte del decreto-legge 112 del 2008, non vieta espressamente la futura costruzione di centrali energetiche basate su qualsivoglia principio.
Quindi il risultato del referendum non può in alcun modo pregiudicare l’eventuale futura installazione di centrali energetiche fondate sull’utilizzo del dispositivo del Dott. Rossi.
P.S. Scusate se scrivo in italiano, ma è una questione che è prettamente legata a fatti italiani.
