    Dear Andrea,

Are you doing a new experiment with the E-Cat X now? If so, can you explain what you are doing in this particular experiment?

    Many thanks,

    Frank Acland

  • Andrea Rossi

    Marcelo:

    Dear Andrea,

can it be said that E-Cat X generates its own stimulation, once it has been activated ?

    Kind Regards,

    Dr Andrea Rossi
Congratulations for your US Patent. This is some “peer reviewed publication”!
Clearly all the guys who said for years that you had not be able to get a real patent and to get a peer reviewed publication ( I confess I was among them) have to admit that you are much stronger, as a scientist as well as an industrialist.
Maybe you are really the bearer of the best available technology against the global warming.
You have gained my support, after having my opposition.
    Regards,
    Wilbur

  • Marcelo

    Dr Rossi,
Can we have an update also today?
    Marcelo

  • Andrea Rossi

    Tom Conover:
Thank you for your gracious questions.
I work on the E-Cat X two hours per day in the lab it is operating in, plus hours of study while I am in the 1 MW plant.
Today both of them have worked well.
    Warm Regards
    A.R.

  • Tom Conover

    Dear Andrea,

When the tests complete successfully as a result of your holding the 1MW plant in your arms and rocking it to sleep every night, THEN you can say that you CAN make LENR, no – you can shout it from the top of the mountains!

Can we have a status report on the E-Cat X today too, please?
Does the E-Cat X take less than 5 hours per week of your time, or more?

Just wondering if the little one sleeps through the night yet…

Thank you for your gracious replies!

    Tom

  • Andrea Rossi

    Gunnar Lindberg:
We’ll talk about this when the tests will have been completed.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Gerard Mc Ek:
    Correct the last phrase.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Koen Vandewalle:
    Because they are not fit.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Koen Vandewalle

    Dear Andrea,

Maybe too little too late: why not use an existing type of pressure cooker as the container for one domestic E-Cat module ?
The seals and valves are proven concept and cheap, and last for years and can easily be replaced.

    Kind Regards,

    Koen

  • Gerard McEk

    Dear Andrea,
You wrote to Maryana, that it still questionable that you are able to you can make real LENR (my words). I would expect that you must be convinced that you can by now, and that you are able to produce excessive and abundant heat, which very probable comes from some kind of nuclear reaction. Do you agree, or is there still some doubt?
I can understand that you cannot say that you can control, or produce this heat in a reliable way, because the test is still ongoing.

  • Gunnar Lindberg

    Dear Andra Rossi,
You have demonstrated excess energy from different reactors since several years, you have tested the 1MW plant during nine months and the customer is happy, but you are not sure you are able to make LENR. If not LENR, what may the source of the excess energy be?
    Best regards
    Gunnar Lindberg

  • Andrea Rossi

    Maryana:
I am well, thanks God I can sustain the work I am doing. Besides, it is not true I am the sole man able to make real LENR: as a matter of fact, it is soon to say if I am able at all… the tests on course are not finished, yet.
Thank you for your kind care, though!
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

    Dear Andrea,

Re: The basic E-Cat X will be a module with a small power (we still have to define it).

    Perhaps SOFC = http://www.bloomenergy.com/fuel-cell/solid-oxide/

    1) Have you reviewed the Bloomenergy SOFC technology?
    2) Is SOFC an IDEAL companion for E-Cat X?\

It is a mature product, not a prototype. It is in the market and running for companies like Google, Walmart and eBay!!

Thank YOU for YOUR contant attention to this blog!

A commentor on e-catworld.com puts his best foot forward below:
“E-Cat X cannot be anything else other than Electric. My guess is that the
E-Cat X is an E-Cat encased in a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell.” – CamH

    http://www.bloomenergy.com/fuel-cell/solid-oxide/

For decades, experts have agreed that solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) hold the greatest potential of any fuel cell technology. With low cost ceramic materials, and extremely high electrical efficiencies, SOFCs can deliver attractive economics without relying on CHP. But until now, there were significant technical challenges inhibiting the commercialization of this promising new technology. SOFCs operate at extremely high temperature (typically above 800°C). This high temperature gives them extremely high electrical efficiencies, and fuel flexibility, both of which contribute to better economics, but it also creates engineering challenges.

Bloom has solved these engineering challenges. With breakthroughs in materials science, and revolutionary new design, Bloom’s Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technology is a cost effective, all-electric solution.

Over a century in the making, fuel cells are finally clean, reliable, and most importantly, affordable.

  • Marcelo Yamagata

    Dear Mr. Rossi,

First and foremost, congratulations on you patent! I’m looking foward to the next ones.

Just one question regarding the e-cat X: does the data collected on the 1MW plant, including the problems that emerged, have aided you in creating the e-cat X, or its development and inspiration are completely unrelated to the 1MW plant?

    Best regards from Brasil,

    Marcelo Yamagata

  • Maryana

    Dear Andrea Rossi
Please take care of yourself: if something happens to you this we’ll lose the sole man able to make real the LENR technology. 18 hours per day of work are not human, you must make a more sustainable workshift.
    God bless you,
    Maryana

  • Øystein Lande

    Dear Mr. Rossi,

Regarding your 1MW plant: are you changing and adjusting parameters during the test period to find the limits and operating envelope of the plant?

Or is the test period only focusing on stable operation and maximising reliability / regularity of the plant?

    Regarding
    Lande

  • Øystein Lande

    Dear mr. Rossi,

Have you considered bringing onboard a University to If possible accelerate the development of the ecat-X product? Obviously with a NDA agreement included…..

    Regards
    Lande

  • Chris Beall

This is, I believe, a true story, though I was not personally involved and cannot be sure.

A large computer company decided to reduce the cost of manufacturing computer printers using a robotic assembly line, to better compete with cheap foreign labor while maintaining US quality standards.

In order to make the robots most efficient, the printers were specifically redesigned for robotic assembly, screws replaced by snap-latches, assemblies of parts reduced to a single injection-molded part, etc.

When it came time to test the manufacturing process, it was determined that the simplification of the printer design had made it so easy for PEOPLE to assemble the printers that the cost of robots was not justified. As a result, the jobs of long-term employees were saved.

There are no current LENR-assembly line employees, but close attention to the product design-for-manufacture, whether people or robots (or a combination) do the final work, can pay off handsomely.

And you probably know this, but I still like the story.

    Dear Andrea,

The link below describes a new type of catalyst developed at Rice University to produce Hydrogen using Cobalt atoms deposited onto a Nitrogen-doped Graphene substrate.

This might be an alternate source of Hydrogen.

If you could use an E-Cat and a Cobalt Catalyst together, you could call this an ECO-Cat!

I totally agree: your US Patent and the 1 MW plant in operation, if the results of the tests on course will be positive, will make the best available technology (BACT) to decrease the use of carbon fuels and their employment should be mandatory.
    Thank you for your endeavors,
    Tockey

  • Lorita Nghiem

    Dr Andrea Rossi,
After Paris and the tests on course, the world will have a New Fire!
We trust you and the work you are making.
    God bless you,

  • Renato Amento

    Dear Andrea Rossi
To extend your US patent you must extent the patent to 144 Countries: are you sure you want to do it?

  • Cordell Schuchart

    Dr Andrea Rossi
I liked your answer to Somer. With your leadership the E-Cat will arrive at the top of where they can arrive.
    Godspeed,
    Cordell

  • Andrea Rossi

    Somer Burgdorf:
I am working 18 hours per day with a strong Team and we are doing our best to end the tests with positive results.
If we will achieve this goal, millions of E-Cats will be manufactured by means of a system that has already been engineered. This being said, it is still to be proven that we have a BACT against the increase of C gas production.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Aillas Troice:
We are working at the maximum of our possibilities and more work remains to be done.
We have what we need now.

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

I’ve been following the rossilivecat blog almost religiously since last October, and hoping for good news around February time (F9). In view of the Gates/Zuckerberg clean energy fund announcement, with billions of dollars to be made available for new research, my question is this: Could you usefully spend more money to speed up your work on the E-cat and make it more likely to succeed? Hire more staff, buy better equipment, materials, etc.? Or do you already have everything you need, and it’s now just a matter of time and personal effort on the part of yourself and your great team?
Thank you for taking the time to keep us updated.

  • Somer Burgdorf

    Dr Andrea Rossi
Your US patent makes the BACT (best available technology) that the manufacturers of all the world will have to use in regard to limit the carbon emissions along the directions of the momentous meeting of Paris.
Now you have a titanic responsibility.
    Regards
    S.B.

  • Weldon Millender

    Dr Andrea Rossi
Brillouin has replicated your effect by means of a reactor substantially copied from your patent. The replication has been made by a third independent party, but they do not publish it and send the report only to qualified persons under NDA.
What is remarkable is that before their agreement with Industrial Heat they were working only with electrolytic processes without real results.
    Do you want to comment?
    Cheers
    Weldon Millender
