    Dear Andrea Rossi,

    Possible Application:

An eCat SKL coupled with a USHIO Care222 lamp mounted in the ceiling of hospitals, doctor offices, homes where bacteria and viruses in the air need to be neutralized.

The Care222 is a excimer lamp producing radiation at 222nm (includes a narrow passband optical filter). A number of recent studies have shown effective bacteria and virus neutralization (they cannot reproduce) and the radiation is absorbed on the immediate surface of the skin and eyes without doing any damage to humans.

The concept is a ceiling mounted unit with the eCat SKL running continuously without the need for building electrical power. The SKL provides the 30W to 100W of electrical power to the Care222 unit. I assume the SKL can be remotely controlled for on/off, etc. Some visual indication would be provided (a red or green LED) to show SKL powered output state and and another visible LED (Blue?) for UV lamp functioning.

Unlike conventional UV lighting, this one can be continuously operated in the presence of humans. The others require everyone to leave the room when functioning.

About 0.2mJ/cm2 of exposure is required to neutralize bacteria or viruses. The Care222 lamps are rated at 30W and higher. The room dimensions and distances will determine the required exposure times.

    Thoughts?

    Gerard McEk:
    1- no
2- We have most of the equipment necessary to make the Ecats in the USA. Here I have only the instrumentation necessary to work on a prototype and make all the necessary measurements, but the production is there and from there I continue to receive what I need incliding new features.
3- good luck for your book, I surely will buy a copy of it,
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

    Dear Andrea,

You mentioned that you are currently taking opportunity of the current time to improve the configuration of the device amongst other things.

This is great the philosophy in these times try to aspire to is to always turn a disadvantage to to an advantage and look for ways to turn a division in to a construction. That way when things improve we can take maximum advantage of them.

You also mentioned that we can think of the e-cat SKL units almost like like LEGO bricks that can be assembled in almost any physical configuration. If understand right they can also be assembled in any functional configuration for supply voltage and current needs.

I while ago I was wondering if you could take advantage of the design in how these connections are made between the cubes. Normally I guess the design would be too advanced to consider but Perhaps in these times it’s worth considering.

I’m wondering if using connectors with a particular arrangement if the parallel/serial connection could be achieved by a simple 90 degree or 180 degree rotation of the the cube. This way it should be quite simple to construct an assembly for any power usage and any voltage/current requirement. Perhaps 1 or two surfaces of the cube could have a different colour to easily identify the alignment. Or may be better a line on it that indicates clearly and intuitively the parallel or serial connection. Just a crazy idea.

Kind Regards and Best wishes to you and your team for inspired thoughts in this period. And stay safe and healthy.

    Thanks

    Stephen

    Dear Andrea,
    1. I would guess that the tests have already been finalized and that you are now waiting for the reports, is that right?
    2. You obviously took all your stuff to Europe somewhere, where you are continuing your development. I assume it was brought by plane. Does it really take so little equipment to design, built and test the E-Cat SKL?
You know, you play a role in my book (as I do). Due to the corona crisis I have more the time to write in it. It’s a kind of real time story. It is necessary that your bring the E-cat SKL on the market while I’m entering the last episodes in my book. It must be available on the market and will play a role in the grand finale then. If it isn’t there humanity will lose (in my book, and maybe also in real). So corona slow you down, but gives me wings. Let us see where it brings us.
    Kind regards, Gerard

    Frank Acland:
Measurements aimed to obtain the highest possible efficiency combined with the maximum possible reliability. Designing and redesigning the assebly.
Until we are in the period of grace of the R&D the modifications are fast and cheap, while when we will be in the phase of massive production , modifications will be very expensive. So we must now make all the possible tests and combinations, and compare the results. The corona virus period can be taken advantage of as a sort of an incubator of improvements: any negative event must be turned into a positive chance, which is what I always made in the not easy course of my life.

Dear Andrea, Do you expect that the certification currently in progress will permit manufacturers to build domestic products such as furnaces or will products be limited to industrial use only?

Here is my hopeful guess at the bet:

Weight = x (where x means the exact weight known by Andrea Rossi, the great inventor).

Dimensions: m * n * o (where by m, n and o we mean the dimensions in width, depth and height well known to the Team of Andrea Rossi)

Color = y (where y means the color chosen by Andrea Rossi or the end customer)

Maximum Total Output Power = z (where z means precisely this power known precisely by Rossi Andrea)

Residual thermal power = w (where w means a value close to 10% of z, but even better consider the one currently [at the time of winning!] known by Rossi Andrea)

    Electric power produced = j (where j is z – w)

If “strangely” my bizarre supposition will not be accepted, then I also ask the kind Rick 57 to want to put, in the cell of my relevance on his Excel folder, the formula that takes for my values those of the cells of those who will win with honest classic method , different from mine).

So I hope I can also win, but I’m happy if I made Andrea Rossi and readers at least give a big smile. ;-D

  • Steven N. Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

The reason for the recent post is that there is a slippery coating used in gun barrels called Nickel Boron – various tradenames apply. E.g., Miccrolloy™ Nickel Boron (NiB)

The electron microscope images show a tubular structure that is very consistent and periodic.

    Natural hydrogen can fuse with boron in an aneutronic reaction. Proton – Boron-11: 1p + 11B → 3 4He + 8.7 MeV

It might be something interesting to test in your idle moments (if such moments exist anymore – LOL).

  • Andrea Rossi

    Steven N. Karels:
Hydrogen is part of the fuel, as well described in my patent. Boron is not.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Steven N. Karels

  • Andreas Hollenschwandtner

    Hello, Andrea:
I have been following your development for over 10 years and have wanted the “breakthrough” since day one.
Many years ago I ordered 3 E-Cats: are these pre-orders still valid for the Ecat SKL ?
    Best Regards,
    Andreas Hollenschwandtner

  • KeithT

    Dear Andrea,

You have indicated that the E-Cat SKL efficiency has improved, the original 20 to 30 % heat hopefully reduced by halve to say 10 to 15% (or better), based on the improvements seen in past months is it theoretically possible to develop a larger charge that would have a heat output no greater than the original E-Cat SKL but with double the electricity production?

A development that led to a doubling of the E-Cat SKL electrical output could mean halve the quantity required for some installations, fewer components required to be manufactured or sourced for the same power output, alternatively for the same number of units produced you could sell to double the number of customers, penetrate faster into the market.

    Regards,

    Keith Thomson.

    “Dr.R. Nicholson”:
I suppose you are using the word “survey” improperly, because, actually, I am not making any survey. Can you rephrase correctly ?
    Warm Regards,

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

can here fan base and directors of numerous engineering companies hope that You publish at the presentation the likely price for installed power output of E-Cat SKL: US dollars per installed kiloWatt?

Note: At least a very rough estimate.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Rick 57:
It is impossible to answer this question, because it depends from many factors. It will be made as soon as possible. My Team now and again accuses me to be too optimistic, so just let me be cautious. We are doing well, though.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Rick 57

    Dear Andrea,

yes, you can use the email address below my nickname.

Let me now ask you a question related to the time frame you consider reasonable between the presentation and the first commercial E-Cat SKL shipping:

    a) less than 6 months
    b) between 6 and 18 months
    c) more than 18 months

    Thanks a lot,
    Riccardo

  • Rick 57

    Dear Andrea,

I’m already collecting the Readers data into an excel folder.

When I will receive the actual figures it will be just a matter of a few days, to avoid any error and exchange preliminary results with you.

For that purpose may I use the email address info@leonardocorp1996 ?

    Warm Regards,
    Riccardo

  • Henrik

    Dear Andrea
    My guess would be:

Weight 92-93 gram (depends on the color coating)
    Dimension: 5,5 cm/side(2,25 in)
    Max output: 20 kW
    Electricity Conversion max 93%

  • Iggy Dalrymple

    @Chuck Davis
Why would E-Cat SKL installation at home electric meter be subject to transmission losses and increased blackouts? Like everyone I would prefer personal ownership of E-Cat but Dr Rossi haa repeatedly stated that for a few years E-Cat sales would be limited to the industrial market. I believe that selling to the retail electric power market would be the quickest way to deliver the technology close to the public. Otherwise the present energy establishment will try to bury E-Cat technology in obscure industrial applications.
    Best Regards,
    Iggy

  • Andrea Rossi

    Patrick:
    Thanks, data received.
The quest will be closed one month before the presentation and the results will be given soon after, just the time for Rick to check with the real data I will give him. The time Rick will need will depend on the amount of data to check. Maybe he can answer better to this point.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Patrick

    Dear Andrea, and Rick,

Take my 3.2kw as total power, please.

When does the quest close and how will the results be announced?
