This is how my wife charges her car with a 50kWh battery and a 7kW on-board charger.
At home on an ordinary household outlet, the charge is at 2kw to preserve the installation of the house and it would take 25 hours for a full charge. This solution is sufficient for those who drive less than 60 km a day.
Beyond this distance, a wallbox must be installed at home which can charge at 7kw, which allows a charge in 5:30. For some cars you can charge with a higher power, it depends on the power of the charger vehicle.
Finally on the public terminals called “super chargers”, the charge is done at 100 kh in DC current. We charge 80% of the battery in 30 minutes then to avoid overheating the charging power decreases sharply and it would take 30 minutes more if we absolutely wanted to charge 100% but in practice we stop at 80%.
I believe the electric car is eagerly awaiting an E-Cat under its hood.

As a Tesla Model 3 owner, I follow Tesla developments and some of their “future envisionments” One idea suggested by Tesla is to use the energy stored in the Tesla car battery to provide energy back into the electrical grid. One example would be a solar equipped home that charges the Tesla car during the day and can provide any excess energy back into the electrical grid at night. The Tesla car owner could specify to the Tesla car how much energy was available to be sent to the grid and when it should be sent.
Now consider a Tesla car equipped with an eCat SKL. Assuming a reduced battery size because the SKL provides most of the average power needed to move the car (the battery being required for peak demand and for regenerative braking). When the car is stationary and connected to an appropriate charging system (at home or at work), after the car battery is filled to the desired level, the excess electrical energy is sold back into the electrical grid. The Tesla car communication system relays the amount of transferred energy for billing purposes.

When you dissipate electricity by a resistor the efficiency is almost 100% ( Joule effect ). Obviously cannot be 100%.
After that,there will be a loss of efficiency of the heating system, that is intrinsic of the system, independently from the kind of the heat source.

please be prepared that once the SKL is launched, governments will have to make a decision.
Either they support you 100% or they fight you 100%. Attention – a fight would not be fought in public. It would be run by intelligence agencies and the media would not report anything. People, data, equipment simply disappear, and even the disappearance would not be reported.
I sincerely hope it will go well, but be prepared for the impossible to happen. I hope you are in contact with at least one country, a government that will really support you and which, if necessary, offers exile for research, development and marketing.

I would like to come back to the efficiency.
You will never be able to achieve an efficiency of 100%, the theory forbids that.
If the E-Cat SKL actually achieved 95%, then an improvement to 96% would be an increase of 20% in relation to what has been achieved so far. The result would be 20% less waste heat.
With 96.2% the E-Cat SKL would have achieved a performance quality of 2 Sigma. That would be world class and on the level of extremely sophisticated DC / DC converters. Passive cooling without a fan is then also possible at this level.
For a detailed examination of the efficiency, you should therefore use the energy obtained without consuming the control box and cooling. Because the control box is separate anyway and only scales logarithmically and the cooling could also be fed via external sources.
96.2% efficiency could be a factor at which you could perhaps also mentally let go of further development.
Hence my question: Did you investigate the dependency of the efficiency on the operating temperature and the energy consumption? If so, can you tell us something about it?

I think that the Ecat SKL will make obsolete the Ecat SK, because while to turn thermal energy into electricity you have an efficiency at the best of 35%, if you turn electricity into heat you have an efficiency almost of 100%. You do not need a certification to confirm the Joule’s effect. If the Ecat SKL will maintain what is promising… the SKL will get it all.

It is possible to vary the electrical / thermal performance of the E-CAT SKL to get 100% thermal performance and the SKL will replace the E-CAT SK.
Will the SK now replaced by the SKL?
Will the ability of the SKL to produce a high percentage of heat part of the certification?
