    I was delighted to read your announcement on the presentation, confirmed in 2021, and your decision to use lighting effects.
    If possible, even better was the impression I got from reading the various comments you received and the discussion on eCat World. In fact, your confidence emerges that the next events will lead to the marketing of the first product based on eCat.

    The comments that do not like the use of lights and also those who care about the measurement of power are wrong.

    In fact, the use of a dazzling light instinctively causes the sensation that one is in front of something powerful and, also instinctively, one places oneself in a position of attention and fear in front of the object. Then, when you realize that it is an object that you could control, the effect is achieved.
    Maybe, make sure the lighting does not reach excessive levels and / or ask the people to put on protective eyewear (I’m sure you’ve already thought about this, but I prefer to reiterate this).
    Also, this is really the achievement of the dream you had at the beginning of SK and that can be enough.

    On the second point, you don’t have to PROVE anything. Who does not believe it misses the opportunity to participate in an event comparable to the invention of the wheel and the control of fire.
    Furthermore, it is foreseeable that, in a very short time, thousands of luminous eCats will be sold in different countries of the world. A soft start, but not too much, is desirable. In a short time, the spread of eCat will not be countered by any single nation and the speed of the phenomenon will make predictable negative reactions more difficult.

    Dear Andrea. You mention that you hope to do a demonstration in 2021 and start commercialisation soon after. Is there a way we can go on a waiting list to purchase an ecat.     thank you for your answer. Can you use the electricity as a heating source for smelters (aluminum, copper, steal etc.) ?

    Smelters need a huge amount of energy. Some aluminum smelters consume as much energy as a city. If this is technically possible can you deliver ecats with an output in the megawatt range and at a competitive price for this purpose?

    Good point.
    We are working also for that, but it is more complicated that just sell the Ecats coupled with lights ready to be plugged in without any obstacle.
    We prefer to start with the easiest thing to be done, all the rest will follow.
    To enter the grid implies many issues we’d depend on. But we will get there.

    LED lamps consume 1/5 of the energy consumed by incandescence bulbs. It has to be seen how much is the energy consumed at the outlet of the grid by the LED powered by the Ecat SKL. The demo at the presentation will surely answer this question.

    Leds consume less than incandescence lamps, but their consume is not “potatoes”.
    We are talking of series of 200 Watts lamps, not of the 1 W lamps you probably are thinking of, that are used in electronic circuits.
    We’ll see the numbers ( and the COP ) at the presentation. Light consumes the 58% of the energy produced in the world by fossil fuels, notwithstanding the wide diffusion of led lamps.

    However, don’t you think that LEDs are relatively a very low consumer of power? I can power a small LED with a potato.

    How do you convince your audience of the order of magnitude of power being generated? Wouldn’t it be better to boil the kettle?

    Hello Andrea,

    Would it be a good concept to, for example, drive a gas turbine via an electrically heated resistor?
    Today it would be a crazy concept to provide controllable mechanical power that way, but with the E-Cat SKL, that could separate output power control from production power control.
    Then only sustainable materials of proven technology are used.
    In concrete terms, I am thinking of applications to power ships, run trains and pump fresh water.

    Or will there already be converters available in your commercial product for which you are still perfecting the technology yourself?

    I received the following specifications for a plasma electricity generator from my friend. I expect a lot of criticisms.

    Technical Details
    ===================
    Plasma-Based Electrical Generator (A.Rossi)
    The Back-EMF is the main source of energy in the reactor.
    EQUIPMENT AND PARAMETERS
    1. Alumina ceramic cylinder:
    – Diameter: 70 mm
    – Length: 80 mm
    – Wall thickness: 6 +/- 1 mm.
    – The cylinder is commercially available.
    – End caps: Two Tungsten solid disks, 7 mm thick, serving as a Cathode and Anode. The Cathode has a short replaceable spike in the centre, the Anode has a short, replaceable, flat cylinder, protruding into the ceramic cylinder. The replaceable parts are 7 mm in length.
    – Cooling: ambient air, forced flow (fan).
    – The ceramic cylinder has a Tungsten support.
    – Mercury is not used.
    2. Insert (boat shape), contains alumina powder mixed with 7 grams of Nickel hydride complex with carbon monoxide and 14-15 grams of LiF.
    Alumina powder weight is 18 times larger than the weight of LiF and Ni-hydride complex combined. The mixture is compressed and partly sintered.
    3. An external coil captures AC current, about 10% of the total energy generated. The main power output is a pulsed DC current, from the circuit passing through the plasma.
    4. Startup.
    A. Purging the chamber with hydrogen, then evacuation using standard laboratory-size, oil- based vacuum pump (5 minutes).
    B. Several ionizing short sparks, momentary 15,000 to 17,000 V with the spark-current of 8A.
    5. Operating parameters:
    – Ratio of energy in, to energy out: 800.
    – Operating pressure: 3.5 +/- 0.2 mm Hg
    – Gases: hydrogen, some CO, Lithium. Any fluorine product of decomposition of LiF is absorbed by powdered alumina.
    – Pulsed power output, aver. 9 A, at 2,500 to 3,000 V.
    – Operating “priming pulses”: 22-25 V, average current 8 A, frequency 786 KHz, in bursts lasting from 6 to 7 seconds, followed by 14 to 15 seconds non-pulsing.
    – Temperature of Cathode: 700 deg. C.
    – Temperature of Anode: 900 deg. C.
    – Temp. of the ceramic cylinder: 1,800 to 1,900 deg. C.
    6. No standard radiation and no “strange radiation”. Muons and hydrinos are marginal (non-detectable quantities) any hydrinos will be stable in the cell for only about 8 min., resembling stability of neutrons. Muons will decompose without reacting with protons. Marginal, not detectable quantities of deuterium can be generated. Tritium will not be generated.
    7. Control.
    – Excitation: Very short pulses, operational frequency range from 750 kHz to 790 kHz, optimum 786 kHz.
    – Length of the series of pulses: 6 – 7 seconds.
    – Length of the pulse-free time: 14 – 15 seconds.
    – Standard PID controller will be sufficient to keep the system stable.
    8. Utilized main effect: Spikes of Back EMF.
    – Electrical energy is recovered from the primary circuitry (current flowing through the plasma). External inductive coil (around the ceramic cylinder) gets about 10% of the total energy.

    Additional suggestion for charging EV batteries with an Ecat

    Dear Dr Rossi,

    I have a modification to my previous suggestion for using an Ecat to charge EV batteries. I now propose using two Ecats, one for each half-battery, to simplify the complexity of the switching control system.

    As in conventional EVs, the High Voltage DC power from the (combined) battery supplying the drive motor would still be managed through the vehicle’s standard Battery Management System (BMS).

    The power output of each Ecat would be switched on or off to charge its associated half-battery. The two half-battery outputs would then be jointly connected (electronically switched through in turn) to the power feed cable to the BMS to power the electric drive motor.

    Working Example: (naming the half-batteries, Battery #1 and Battery #2)

    1. Charged Battery #1 provides drive power to the motor. Ecat #2 charges Battery #2.

    2. Battery #1 charge level drops.

    3. Ecat #2 isolates from Battery #2, which ceases charging.

    4. Low Battery #1 isolates from the vehicle BMS.

    5. Charged Battery #2 connects to the vehicle BMS and powers the vehicle.

    6. Ecat #1 connects to Battery #1 and starts charging Battery #1

    7. Charged Battery #2 provides drive power to the motor. Ecat #1 charges Battery #1.

    8. Battery #2 charge level drops.

    9. Ecat #1 isolates from Battery #1, which ceases charging.

    10. Low Battery #2 isolates from the vehicle BMS.

    11. Charged Battery #1 connects to the vehicle BMS and powers the vehicle.

    12. Ecat #2 connects to Battery #2 and starts charging Battery #2
