They say… “The whole system (engine + generators) takes less than 3,000 lb. to generate 3 megawatts and fly to 10,000-15,000 ft.—that’s 1 kW/lb.” In addition there are about 3000 lb of fuel.
How would you rate a solution with e-cat in terms of power density (kW/lb)?
What could be a reasonable number for e-cat in experimental planes?

For this, R&D of a new high temp ceramic, but also to be very Thermal Shock proof/resistant to allow fast start up.
You do not refuel Quarks. The individual Quark can be manufactured for a few dollars each like a ceramic fuse. You change them like a fuse and exchange the used quarks for replacements. The used Quarks are returned for recycling of materials and spent fuel. Cradle to Cradle…
This all leads up to my 1 Question.
Are you now able to achieve the goal of taking a Quark from room temperature to full operation within a couple minutes?

• Since you are ramping up manufacturing of your E-Cat, what will be the actual name that Leonardo Corp. will use to market (and trademark) the reactors? Will it be ‘E-Cat X,’ ‘E-Cat X Quark,’ or other? While I am shouting from my rooftop, I want to make sure I am shouting the correct name.
• Have there been inquiries from major news outlets that are interested in reporting about your E-Cats? Can we expect to read or watch a story about E-Cats in the near future?
• Without disclosing anything that can disrupt the production of the reactors, can you share any nugget of new information (e.g., minor or major features) about your reactors that isn’t widely known to the general public? The community that follows you and your E-Cats are excited and anxiously awaits ANY morsel of news that comes from you.
Would it be possible to construct a 250 kilowatt E-Cat X reactor module that uses steel casing rather than alumina, and that is designed to run at a maximum operating temperature of 650 degrees C? Could such a rector be made to produce both DC electricity directly and simultaneously produce electricity the old fashioned way through a heat engine? Wouldn’t such a system be safe, stable, and cost effective since it uses a lower operating temperature and construction materials that have been proven to hold up very well for decades at those temperatures? I would think that as you would be continuously sucking energy out of the reactor in the form of DC current, that would give you yet another moderating control factor that would make the reactor very stable and reliable. Forgive me if my question is totally naive.

Is one of the reasons for developing smaller E-Cat X modules because heat can be removed more efficiently?
That is, a “Quark” would have a higher “Q-dot”, or heat transfer rate, because it has a higher surface area to volume ratio.
Neglecting end faces, a cylinder has a surface area-to-volume ratio of about 2/R (while a sphere has a surface to volume ratio of 3/R). R is the radius. Assuming constant total volume, more heat can be extracted if the total surface area is multiplied. Dividing an E-Cat X into smaller modules would definitely increase surface area.
When you use the E-Cat X in a situation where you only want electricity how do you handle the heat and light?
Will your modules have switches for each function?
