Abstract

During Ni-H collisions, proton (of the hydrogen atom) combines with the Nickel nucleus and electron (of the hydrogen atom) combines with the Nickel electronic shell and forms Copper with no emission of alpha or beta or gamma rays.
or mole number of such Ni-H atomic fusions, as hydrogen atom is losing its identity, binding energy of electron is converted into heat energy of ~1.3×106 joules.
As the temperature of the system increases, more number of hydrogen atoms may fuse with more number of Nickel atoms liberating more heat energy.
Selection of the target cold fusion atom seems to follow the condition: selected stable atom’s Z+1 is a new stable element with odd atomic number.
Fineness of the Ni powder may help H atoms to fuse with ease causing more number of Ni-H fusions.

    Mr Rossi:
The components, the materials and the charge of the E-Cat X are substantially the same of the E-Cat used in the Lugano test?
Congratulations for the US patent: great!

The E-Cat X has a charge as described in the US Patent?

    Abel:

Your claims are just not true

    1) The MFMP hasn’t yet even tried the “formula” presented in the latest patent.

    2) There’s no report of a confirmed COP of 1.4 frmo the MFMP

    3) The MFMP has had isotopic results, but we don’t know yet which result corresponds to each sample, so it’s a bit early to draw any conclusion

The MFMP is doing great work, but you are jumping the gun.

    Mr Andrea Rossi:
Congratulations for the US Patent: now nobody will be allowed to say that you did not make peer reviewed publications: an USPTO patent is a peer reviewed publication, made in what is probably the most difficult peer reviewing of the entire world: in your sector onli the 5% of the patent applications are published as granted.
    Godspeed,
    Harley

    Dear Andrea:
The MFMP has replicated your effect, albeit with a minor COP, but still a good 1.4, and also has obtained an isotopical shift, thanks to the information given by your US Patent. That’s good.
    Cheers,

    Hello Dr. Rossi:
there are some good news from the reactor MFMP .

The findings are very interesting. Here is the conclusion from the report:

The change in Ni60/62 ratio from natural abundance in sample #21 and #59 is statistically significant. We cannot currently conceive of an isotope fractionation process that would have caused such a change in the experiment as we understand it. The sign of the change in the isotope ratio matches what was reported in the Lugano Report of the Rossi device – i.e., a relative increase in the amount of Ni62. However, the change in the MFMP samples was significantly less than in the Lugano Report. Barring deliberate fraud, these appear to be intriguing results and warrant further investigation.

    Dear Andrea,

On August 29th, Alonzo Pope posted here on JNP about a comment of Brian Josephson on the Nature Web about your patent etc..
    http://www.nature.com/news/the-week-in-science-21-27-august-2015-1.18224

As you can see, it now says- “Comments for this thread are now closed.”
Below that it says-“There are currently no comments.”
It’s all been deleted. An action that’s becoming a common occurrence when certain topics come up.

I and I’m sure many others find such subject and topic censoring greatly distasteful.

I recall not long ago, it was in the News that these publications were complaining that the general public was losing faith in Science and they don’t understand why. There readership is also in decline. Hmmm.

Perhaps they need to consult a Crystal Ball.

    Warm Regards,
    Dan C.

How is the work today? Can you give an update?

    Dear all
In these happy days of the US patent granted to the ECat I would like to remember a man that has contributed to this achievement and that is no longer with us: the Professor Emeritus Sergio Focardi.
At the end of his carreer he was directing the physics department of the University of Bologna.
I had the pleasure to have him as a teacher (it was in the 80s), and I remember him as a very liking person. He loved a lot his work and often, during a lesson, he started telling us short anecdotes about his past experiences. One day he was trying to convey us what to be a researcher involves and recalled the time when he was working in the team of Carlo Rubbia (Nobel Prize 1984). At the time they was working at a particle accelerator that was requesting constant changes and repairs. Focardi was funnily complaining with us because the person in charge to enter the (quite narrow) tunnel, to check up and to repair the device, was always him because of his shortness. He was requested to go forward using elbows and knees, but he was only joking when, sometimes, before entering the tunnel, with an helmet with torch on his head, wrench and screws in the hands, he tried to remostrate saying “Hey I should be the theoretical physicist here” while Rubbia and the others was pushing him inside. To us it was very clear that he loved to be there and that he really really enjoyed that work.
He reported us a world where there aren’t only white coats and soft instruments but also dirty hands and real sweat.
He was a really remarkable soul, extremely honest and with a strong inner “need for truth”.

Some years ago, when I heard of Andrea Rossi and the ECat I was very interested in it but a bit incredulous so I searched the internet. What I found was a lot of criticism. A lot of skeptics was hardly attacking Andrea and his discovery and they was so likely that I was almost believing them. But eventually I found a youtube video where Prof Focardi, during an interview for a local TV station, was saying “the ECat is a discovery of so huge extent for civilization that could be compared to the discovery of the fire” and honestly added “…. although I should not be the one who say so because I’ve worked with Dr. Rossi….”. Knowing the man, immediately all my doubts on ECats and Andrea vanished and I started to be an ECat evangelists, stressing my wife and all my friends and acquaintances about the new era that is coming …. and that is coming very very soon.
    F9 😉

Hey Andrea what about naming the top ECat model to Sergio Focardi ? Just like the Ferrari model “Enzo” ?

God bless you Prof., wherever you are.

    Dear Andrea,

You’ve reported on a number of occasions that you have had to take out a reactor for repairs. Is it always the same one that gives you problems, or does each need repairs from time to time.

    Many thanks,

    Frank Acland

  • Steven N. Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

You posted “The 1 MW E-Cat is working at 3/4 of the power because we have problems in one reactor” Are the recurring difficulties associated with one particular reactor or have the past problems been distributed between all or some of the reactors? Specifically, if you look at the downtime history of your test, what is the relative distribution of downtime by individual reactor?

  • Dear Andrea and the eCAT-watchers:

Just wanting to say hello. I wrote the python script that generates rossilivecat.com. The domain name was suggested by another eCAT fan (forgotten his name, sorry). I’m generally busy with other things these days, but if rossilivecat.com stops working, please do let me know (as others have done).

    Be well,
    Eric

Right now in the plant it’s 10.05 p.m. of September 1.
The 1 MW E-Cat is working at 3/4 of the power because we have problems in one reactor, The other 3 reactors are stable and well.
The E-Cat X is in preparation, I’m convinced we will start it up during the next week end.

    Dear Andrea:
Bill Gates has presented to the world with drums and trumpets his nuclear reactor that ( he says) has been able for few seconds to make a reaction that produced few watthours…you have a 1 MW plant in operation in a factory of a customer that produces megawatthours per day, while, moved by your enormous work, entities like Japan government, Airbus, Volvo, Elforsk, Lockeed Martin, Boeing, NRL, MIT, and many others entered in the field on nuclear fusion that had been almost abandoned before your now historic test of January 2011.
Thank you for what you are doing: may God bless you.

It will be the E-Cat X that will tell us how long the tests need to be before commercialization. It depends on what will happen starting from the end of this week, when it will be put again in operation. Patents generate patents continuations with further disclosures as a follow up of an evolving technology. Cartesius would be very happy: everything evolves orbiting around something, in a continue changement of everything: this is what makes life not boring. Today I started 2 new patent applications, for example, here, inside the computer container.
