    Dear Andrea Rossi,

The direct eCat-to-Photovoltaic conversion is very appealing for the following reasons:

    1. No moving mechanical parts in the energy production portion of the system.
    2. Conversion efficiency approaching or surpassing that of the Carnot cycle.
    3. Simpler concept – implies better reliability.

    The engineering challenges I foresee:

    a. Obtaining of high efficiency photovoltaic cells matched to the eCat-SK output spectrum.
    b. Adequate and simple thermal control to keep the photovoltaic cells sufficiently cool for high efficiency operation.
    c. Output stability/interactions between the eCat-SK and the photovoltaic cell electrical power generation.
    d. Packaging/geometry issues – size, shape, maintainability, etc.

  • Bob Belovich

    Dear Andrea

Congratulations to you and your team for undertaking research in the production of electricity from an ecat.

    1. Does the ecat you employ for this effort operate at

    a. a higher temperature

    b. a lower temperature

    c. the same temperature

    as the commercial ecat sk?

    2. Are you working on developing an e-cat sk

    a. smaller in size than the one shown in the demonstration video?

    b. lower in power than the 20kw ecat sk

    c. Is a hand held ecat (exclusive of heat shielding) feasible?

    Thanks

    Bob Belovich

    Giuseppe:
We are still in an early, albeit very promising, phase of our R&D on this issue. I am not able to answer your questions so far.
Your considerations maybe right, but may also be wrong.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Giuseppe

    Dear Andrea,
Reading your comments you look very positive versus the direct production of electric energy helped by PV cells and probably preferring it to the Carnot Cycle.
    But, what about dimensions?
I can image the 20 KW SK you showed in January just a little bit bigger if coupled with a turbine and generator; in the same time I can image it very bigger if coupled
with PV cells that has standard Quantum Efficiency.
One other doubt is ‘efficiency’; is it correct to talk about efficiency (regarding Direct production vs Carnot cycle) regarding something that you have almost for free ( I mean the thermal output)?
    Best Regards, Giuseppe

    Dear Dr Andrea Rossi,
    in your paper

I noticed that the mathematical structure is derived from the Clifford algebra and from the Aharonov Bohm effect. Can you suggest a simple text where to understand more about these issues?
Thank you if you can answer,

    Dear Andrea,
1- is the schematic published on http://www.ecat-thenewfire.com with the seal of Leonardo Corporation and your signature authentic?
2- if yes, is it complete ?

  • Andrea Rossi

    Orsobubu:
He,he,he…original is prohibitive, also because that kind of money must be spent for mankind…but my precise reproduction is still very beautiful: it is the exact reproduction in real dimensions, exactly as the original, with very intelligent comments. Got many ideas hyperwatching the drawings and the explications written first hand by Leonardo Da Vinci.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

Dear Andrea, I like hanging out at street markets to look for and buy illustrated books for childs with animals pictures and other naturalistic and technical themes, they were widespread in Italy in the 50s, 60s and 70s (when I was a child, Edizioni Piccoli, AMZ, ecc); they are worth between 1 and 5 euros each; an original nineteenth century edition of the explorer Von Humboldt, with scientific color renderings of birds and other Amazonian animals and plants, I could dream it costs several thousand euros. I smile at the idea that you can have an original by Leonardo, if things actually work out well…

    Prof:
    Intriguing question!
During these days I am re-reading “Il Codice Atlantico” ( The Atlantic Codex ), the immense book that collects all the main folios of Leonardo Da Vinci: I am among the fortunate fellows that own an integral copy of it. Well, I found in this wonderful book evidence of the fact that at the beginning of the 16th century Leonardo Da Vinci made a project to use solar energy to make work for industrial purposes ( around the year 1510 ). I love this book, all the six thousand pages of it, because it spurs clouds of ideas.

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

My “secret dream” is an eCat-SK coupled with photovoltaic cells and a battery/inverter, suspended by cables off the ground, generating heat and/or light for months with a continuous output and no input. A test to show the “trolls” the technology.

    Dear Andrea,
While we all are very interested in your other major development projects, we also want to hear how the sale of heat is developing.
    1. Can you characterize the progress in production/sales in one word?
    2. Would you appreciate if we would help you to interest potential customers?
    3. About PV and turbine: which of the two, do you guess, will generate electricity most efficiently?
    4. Do you still research generating electricity directly by the E-cat (which you have indicated could be as much as 10% of the total output energy, in the past)?
Thanks for answering our continuous questions.
    Kind regards, Gerard

    Dear Andrea,

sorry, in my previous post one line was missing in question a):

    a) given the total eCat radiated power of 22 KW, how much in percentage is in the UV band (below 400 nm), how much in the IR band(above 700 nm) and how much in between (visible light spectrum) ?

    b) can you tell us if a direct electrical generation prototype available by the end of this year is a reasonable goal ?

    Warmest Regards,

    Riccardo

    36. Sopportare pazientemente le persone moleste
    Cari fratelli e sorelle, buongiorno!

    36. Bearing wrongs patiently
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Good morning!
We dedicate today’s catechesis to a work of mercy that we all know very well, but that perhaps we do not put into practice as we should: bearing wrongs patiently. We are all very good at identifying something that can be bothersome: it happens when we encounter someone on the street, or when we receive a phone call…. We immediately think: “How long will I have to listen to this person’s complaints, gossip, requests or boastings? It also happens, at times, that the bothersome people are those who are closest to us. There is always someone among our relatives; the workplace is not without them; not even in our free time are we spared. What are we supposed to do with people who annoy us? But often we also annoy others. Why was this also added among the works of mercy? Bear wrongs patiently.

    Dear Andrea,

a couple of questions, if you can answer:

    a) given the total eCat radiated power of 22 KW, how much in percentage is in the UV band (700 nm) and how much in between (visible light spectrum) ?

    b) can you tell us if a direct electrical generation prototype available by the end of this year is a reasonable goal ?

    Dear Andrea,

What do you think will come on the market first from Leonardo Corp:

    a) an E-Cat able to generate electricity from a turbine?
    b) an E-Cat able to generate electricity from a PV cell?

    Many thanks,

    Frank Acland

    Dear Andrea

Can you confirm Swedish Vattenfall is one of the customers you are talking to?

As Dutch NUON is just overtaken by them its interesting. Also Netherlands is in the news for its policy of abandoning decommissioning all houses from natural gas in the near future , E-Cat can fill the empty vacuum.

    https://coldfusionnow.org/swedish-district-heat-is-a-perfect-fit-for-cold-fusion/

A Swedish group is backing the installation, as a proof of commercial principal, in cooperation with some Swedish energy company. They are inviting applications from one and all.

Why Sweden? The answer is very clear. Sweden is one of the many countries that has district heat.
District heat is generated in a centralized location for residential and commercial heating requirements such as space heating and water heating. The heat is often obtained from a cogeneration plant burning fossil fuels but increasingly biomass. Although heat-only boiler stations, utilizing geothermal heating and central solar heating are also used, as well as nuclear power.
District heating plants provide higher efficiencies and better pollution control than localized boilers. According to some research, district heating with combined heat and power (CHPDH) is the cheapest method of cutting carbon emissions, and has one of the lowest carbon footprints of all fossil generation plants.

    Hello A. Rossi

You are now doing R & D for direct power generation from the E-Cat.
1 – Can you tell us what is the purpose of this research? An autonomous E-Cat? Sell electricity? Use the E-Cat in transport? ….
    2 – are you continuing The R & D of the E-Cat- gas turbine?
I share your point of view, R & D never stops. Otherwise it is the safe death of the company.
I support the entire research team.
