  • Frank Acland

    Dear Andrea,

Here is a question from a reader at E-Cat World: “How well do you verify the validity of the interest for each significant preorder?”

    Thank you,

    Frank Acland

I am not aware of hte legislation to export electric energy. These issues will have to be resolved by the Clients with the local competent authirities.
We supply the generators, and the certification, not consultancy for authorizations etc.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

The E-Cat Lep (100W) is estimated to last 11 years of continuous power. Does that mean that it will keep on producing 100W for 11 years and then starts degrading?

  • Albert Ellul

I remember a scientific documentary transmitted on RAI TV around early 1980s in which it was predicted that by a physical principle known then, one day our homes were going to be powered by a small box installed in some corner of the house independent from the grid.

  • Paul Dodgshun

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

I have been investigating the problems associated with building a SKLep array for my house. I have ordered some SKLeps to cover my electricity consumption, but there will inevitably be some generation that will be exported. It is possible to fit yet more SKLeps, up to the limit(100 amps) of the underground distribution cable to my house.

The problem that occurs is, that to claim payment for the exported generation, the equipment must be approved by the MCS(Micro Generation Scheme). With an MCS certificate in hand the SEG payments can be claimed.

Do you think that applying for MCS registration for Leonardo and the SKLep is something that you would consider. This problem is affecting every household(about 25 million) in the UK, even if they do not know it yet.

Regards and Best Wishes for your future mass production.

Solar PV, wind and micro-CHP installations up to and including 50kW must ensure they use equipment certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme or an equivalent scheme, and that it is installed by an installer certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme or an equivalent scheme.

Government decision on eligible technologies and capacities :
The SEG arrangements will apply to anaerobic digestion, hydro, micro-combined heat and power (with an electrical capacity of up to 50KW), onshore wind, and solar photovoltaic exporters with up to 5MW capacity.

We would encourage generators to install new microgeneration equipment using products and services provided by an appropriate accreditation certification scheme,

To be entitled for SEG payments, generators will therefore need to demonstrate to the satisfaction of suppliers that: • For solar PV, wind and micro CHP installations up to and including 50kW, MCS certified, or equivalent, equipment has been installed by an MCS-certified, or equivalent, installer.

Government decision on certification and consumer protection standards :
To benefit from the SEG, exporters must be able to demonstrate to suppliers that their generating equipment, and its installation, has been adequately certified. This in practice means providing evidence that they are certified to MCS or an equivalent standard.

    Dr Rossi:
Have you already organized the production system to make 100000 units per month ?
I suppose it is based on outsourcing integrated with internal assembly of the confidential particulars, correct ?

  • Horst Lorenz Jestl-Pogatschnigg

    Dear Doctor Rossi,

Can you tell us how many units of Ecat SKLEP were ordered from USA, Canada, Europe, China, Russia?

    Best regards
    Lorenz

  • Andrea Rossi

    Tom Conover:
As I said already, we hope to reach the target of at least 100,000 units/month. Presently we are not able to grant a number.
    Wrm Regards,
    A,R.

    Dear Andrea,

Regarding your current priorities, is production for at least one million per month (increasing by each month) possible? It seems to me that without a planet to live on all the other concerns are not priority. The fact that the Creator himself is watching His beautiful creation being degraded for profit might even cause him to allow you to reach out to Him, and walk hand in hand.

English Standard: “For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I (the Lord) who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

    Warm Regards,
    Tom Conover

Our Customers are mostly big buyers that will resell the Ecats.
    Warm Regards,

  • Giuseppe

    Andrea,
if I have interpreted your previous answer correctly, you are saying that you will sell Ecat to customers and they will in turn resell them to their customers. Or your customers will sell the tools where the Ecat are mounted.
    Best Regards, Giuseppe

    Dear Andrea
Re your response to Albert Ellul:

I recall you made a previous post about production volume but I could not find it since this board has no good search function. Please confirm my recollection that you plan to ramp up to 100K-300K per month production once you hit the 1 million pre-order target.

    Dear Andrea

I believe your answer to Simone re output power for AC version vs DC version of the SKLep can be misleading. You will indeed get 100 W out of the SKLep, but you get less than this out of the inverter. Inverter output power is the power that the user must know for their system calculations.

Whenever you use electronics to convert from AC to DC or DC to AC, you have a conversion efficiency loss do to heating of the inverter electronics. Tesla claims their DC to AC conversion to be 98% efficient, but I surmise this is for a very high DC voltage (which converts with less loss) and a sophisticated design. Less sophisticated designs and lower voltage can drop all the way down to 80%.

In order to design the input to the inverter for maximum inverter efficiency, you needed detailed electrical characteristics of the output of the SKLep, which no one will know until they actually get one and do the measurements themselves, or you supply them when it is time to ship. Both will add additional delay to getting to optimum configurations for SKLep use, sinceit is unwise for large users to commit to an inverter design until they get that info. But this is your business model, so be it.

    Dr Rossi,
After the publication of the video presentation of the Ecat SKLep on December 9 ( link on http://www.ecat.com ) the readings of the paper
    http://www.researchgate.net/publication/330601653_E-Cat_SK_and_long_range_particle_interactions
raised up to almost 200 per day: note that 200 readings is the average that a normal publication reaches in the entire professional lifespan of a researcher on Researchgate,

    Dear Andrea,
It seems that you are certain your device will be proven to work and your orders will reach 1M soon. In fact using the order numbers you have given, people have predicted you will reach this number by the middle of January. Wouldn’t it be advantageous for you to immediately start your production?
    Impatient regards.

  • Giuseppe

    Dear Andrea,
it seems that very soon you will reach the one million orders target and the production can be scheduled. Do you have idea now on how will be organized in the future the sell organization? Will be centralized, like seems you are doing now, or you will have reseller by nation or region or area. Probably you are going to sell bilions pieces, you should have a very capillar organizzation.
    Best Regards, Giuseppe

  • Andrea Rossi

    Jim:
No. The December 9th presentation has been made to collect orders for at least 1 million units of the Ecat SKLed and now we are reaching that target soon, due to the flow of the incoming orders. As a consequence of this fact, we do not have any reason to make further demonstrations. One million Ecats in the world will make useless any demo. Now our priorities are:
    1- MANUFACTURE
    2- DELIVERY
All the rest is not priority.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Jim

    Dr Rossi,
Are you going to make more demonstrations after the one of December 9th ?

  • Andrea Rossi

    Neri Accornero:
Thank you for the suggestion. I foresee a big surprise: actually, the increase IS exponential. Nobody could think the video of the December 9th presentation could generate such results. Me too, honestly.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

    Gerard McEk:
    1. Big buyers made the lion’s part
    2. yes
    3. I thank you very much for your book: my Dutch is very poor, but I have Dutch friends
Good luck for your book !

    Albert Ellul:
I am not yet able to answer,
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Ron:
I watched the video: maybe I am wrong, but, as for what I observed, the reactor worked for several minutes, then they had to shut it down because the magnetic confining system lost stability.
Moreless the same that happened with the ITER experiments in the rest of the world, just several minutes longer, same issue: to stabilize a magnetic confinement system at those temperatures is very engaging, and this is my confined opinion,
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Ron

    Dr Rossi,
Today the Chinese claimed success with their ITER experiment: what is your opinion about it ?

  • Albert Ellul

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

Once production starts, what will the first year’s throughput be? less or more than 1 million / YEAR?

  • Gerard McEk

    Dear Andrea,
It is astonishing that you already 600,000 SKLep’s are preordered. Congratulations!
    Just out of curiosity:
    1. Can you tell the percentage of large orders vs small orders?
    2. About 2 years ago quite a number of ‘industrial customers’ were testing the Ecat SKL ‘at a distance’, because of Covid 19. Have a number of these customers also decided to pre-order the SKLep?
I hope the 1M will soon be reached, success!
    Kind regards, Gerard

    PS
The last book of my science fiction phantasy trilogy is nearly finished and you play an important role in it. It will be published as an Ebook, in Dutch. I can give it to you, but how well is your Dutch?

  • Dear Andrea put an automatically updated and clearly visible pre-order counter for Ecat SKLep on the home page of your site and you will see that they will fly exponentially.

    Dear Dr Andrea Rossi:
After collecting orders for 600000 units of the Ecat SKLep do you think this year you will be able to start the production ?
    Best,
    Giorgia

  • Michael

    Dear Mr. Rossi,
will there be one or more shops/outlets in Germany where customers come for the ecat SKLEP and pick it up?
    Best regards
    Michael

  • Greg Leonard

    Dear AR.
Your demonstration of the SKLep had a 1 Ohm resistor connected via 0.3 Ohm wire.
That would then take approximately 10 Amps from the SKLep.
Is 10 Amps the maximum permitted output current?
    regards,
    Greg Leonard

  • Andrea Rossi

    Simone:
The power does not change: W = A x V = 100; W is moreless constant, therefore if you increase V, A will decrease in proportion.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Alain:
    I agree.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Alain

    Dear Dr Andrea Rossi,
Congratulations for reaching 600000 Ecat SKLeps ordered: this fact speaks for the efficiency of the 9th December video presentation,
    Cheers
    Alain

  • Simone

Hi, sorry if this has been asked already or if it is a no-brainer:
I did a preorder on ecat.com and selected as output AC 110V-240V but I notice the technical specification mentions Electricity generation: 100 Wh/h @ 12 V.
So at 240V output, will it still be 100W or will it be much less?
    Thanks,

  • Andrea Rossi

    Dr Joseph Fine:
    Thank you, interesting,
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Joseph Fine

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

I just received a copy of Dr. Frederick J. Mayer’s new paper: “Spin Mediated Electron Pairing”.

    See link below:

    https://www.researchgate.net/publication/357539033_Issue_1_1000115

    The article states:

“…there could be some significant and interesting implications, even if these pairs come together only briefly. For example, during the brief lifetime of a tandem electron pair, it might encounter a free proton whose positive charge could allow it to bind with the negatively charged electron pair, resulting in another Compton-scale composite.

My late colleague John Reitz and I discovered this possibility and referred to this “secondary” composite as a tresino since it is composed of three particles: two electrons (the tandem electron pair) and a proton [5,6].

What’s most interesting about this composite is that its formation results in the release of binding energy (≈ 3.7 keV) and it’s stable and long-lived compared to the tandem-electron pair, because it is a bound state.

It seems likely that in many situations in which a mysterious release of energy is observed in solids or plasmas, will have started by first forming a transient tandem electron pair, but then through a collision with a proton, became a bound-state Compton composite thereby releasing its binding energy.”

To paraphrase Niels Bohr: Is this theory crazy enough to be correct?

“We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough to
have a chance of being correct.”

Niels Bohr: On a theory of elementary particles by Wolfgang Pauli in New York, c. 1957–8, in
    Scientific American vol. 199, no. 3, 1958

    New Year’s regards,

    Joseph Fine
