    Dear Dr. Rossi,
from which quantity (or pre-ordered KW) i could see ecat work in your office/factory?
    Best regards
    H.Langer

    @Karels
With the ecat SSM there is no more need for electric power transmission lines and power poles in the long-term.

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

China has implemented a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line that spans 2,087 km in length with a capacity to carry 8 GW of electrical power. Usually, the generating site is at one end of the transmission line and the load is at the other end of the line.

HVDC is used as it has lower transmission losses compared to an AC line. The High Voltage means lower current and thus reduced ohmic power loss.

The average distance between towers in a HVDC is about 200 meters. So, in the above example, about 10,000 towers are required to support the 2.087 km distance.

Consider if at the base of each tower there was a 1 MW SKLep container, with suitable HVDC converter. Signaling on the power line could “talk” to each tower to control power generation. The total transmission loss would also be reduced as the transmitted power is distributed evenly along the length of the system.

In addition, as the towers are already on some dedicated land, the addition of a container would not result in excessive land usage as compared to a single large electrical generation plant.

Usually, roads are cut between the towers to facilitate installation. Thus, moving the SKLep containers to their tower location is made easier. When failures occur, or the end of service life is reached, a distributed system can be maintained without bring the entire system down.

In the event of a break in the transmission line, then units on either side of the break, could, possibly still power their sides of the transmission line, while repairs to the downed section are made.

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

Yet another application for SKLep technology:

    Tugboats (or icebreakers)

Various propulsion types depending on whether the tugboat is for river use, ports, or deep-water use.

Typically, 500 to 2500 kW electrical power for river and port usage.

Perhaps 11,000 to 60,000 kW for deep water and icebreaker usage.

Tugboats may be used 24 hours per day, with crews working 2 – 6-hours shifts for several days or a week, and then time away from the tugboat. Multiple crews allow a tugboat to be used almost continuously, other than maintenance periods (i.e., drydock).

The 100,000 hour (or more) operating time for SKLep would be useful in maximizing operating time, eliminating the need for refueling stops.

Existing Diesel-Electric systems conceptually would be replaced.

    Thoughts?

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

Can you tell us whether the number of SKLep units ordered by large commercial entities over the last 6 months has:
    a. Risen
    b. Stayed about the same, OR
    c. decreased?

    Dewey:
When we receive pre-orders or offers of deals that are worth important sums, we always ask our attorney to make a vetting on the persons and the companies that are making the proposals.
The sole reasons for which we eventually refuse the proposals are:
1- we discover that the companies do not have the financial ground necessary to execute the contracts
2- the persons involved have a criminal record that makes impossible for us to work for them
All our refusings have been done upon one or both of these reasons.
Obviously, we respect the privacy of anybody, therefore our negative discoveries and the names of these companies and /or persons remain confidential.

    Steven Karels,
A few Tesla Power Packs (or a MegaPack) could assist on hill climbs and acceleration. The E-Cat could charge the Power Packs and propel the train while cruising. I bet that Warren Buffet/Bershire-Hathaway, owner of Burlington Northern Santa Fe, LLC would be interested at some point

    Dear Andrea,

Watch this short video to understand the basics of how a diesel-electric locomotive works:

    https://youtu.be/49rH3buD0bc

After you see this, do you think the E-Cat could substitute the diesel engine?

    Best wishes,

  • Steven Nicholes Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

What is the highest output voltage that you have tested for an ensemble of SKLep units?

  • Steven Nicholes Karels

    Iggy Dalrymple,

Diesel-Electric locomotives require between 1 and 6.4 MW of electrical power, typically at 1,200 Volts. So, a single shipping container power pack may be insufficient. In addition, batteries may be needed to accommodate high demand conditions. Bottomline, a lot of engineering and government approvals would be needed to integrate SKLep technology into the railway system.

I bet that one of your shipping container power packs could replace the diesel on a diesel-electric locomotive.

  • Steven Nicholes Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

Another possible application – Cruise Ships

    see
    https://www.marineinsight.com/tech/cruise-ships-powered/

Electrical power at 6.6kV or 11kV and between 45 and 90 MW is needed. This would provide propulsion, air conditioning, and all the other electrical needs of the cruise ship requires both at port and on the sea.

It would likely be implemented in separate self-contained subsystems of 9 to 15 MW assemblies located in different sections of the ship for redundancy purposes.

One or two cruise ships would allow you to reach your goal of 1 Million 100W SKLep units.

    Questions/Observations:

    1. Can SKLep units be serially connected to produce 11.0 kV (or 6.6 kV outputs)?
    2. Assuming that 1 is true, then two planes of 30 x 30 100W units, each plane producing approximately 11 kV at 90 KW, and when connected in parallel (herein called a “matrix”) would produce 11 kV @ 180 kW and require a space of 2.1 x 2.1 meters (height and width) and about .18 meter in depth. To produce 9 MW, you would need 50 of these matrix units running in parallel.
    3. Conceptually, each matrix unit could be mounted on floor slides to slide them to the side for maintenance access, then centered and locked in place for operation.
    4. 5 to 10 such subsystems would be needed to reach the 45 to 90 MW to run a cruise ship. Conceptually, they would be distributed in the lower portion of the cruise ship.
    5. If this was realized, then the Cruise ship could run continuously (with regards to power), only stopping for consumables (food, drink) and passenger and/or crew changes.

  • Jean Pierre

Dear Andrea. I am trying to be helpful here. Now that we are very close to the public display of the SKSSM, and also knowing that you have tried to make Elon Musk aware of your potential product with, apparently, no result, may I suggest that you consider the following?

When you or anyone else is trying to unlock the mindset of a very powerful and dogged man you need the right key. The right key in my opinion is in the form of a very powerful and persuasive woman. Fortunately there is one such who is very close to Elon.

Gwynne Shotwell is the president of SpaceX at Boca Chica, Texas, and runs the whole show there. Her aim is to bring into reality Elon’s dream of putting people on Mars by using the world’s most powerful rocket that is close to being launched into orbit.

She has been his right hand woman,it seems to me, for many years now.
This woman is very powerful and able. If anyone can influence Elon, then she is the one, IMHO.

Perhaps you should consider trying to get an appointment with her and then placing the replica of the upcoming demonstration on the table in front of her and letting her very fine mind grasp the relevance to Elon and SpaceX. I cannot see Mr. Musk ignoring this formidable woman and her arguments when she is convinced of something.

The Tesla cars use many small cells in a large battery pack and we have all seen how effective and impressive these can be. If your device can withstand the sort of vibrations experienced during rocket launches to low Earth orbit (to be determined ) then the whole volume of the Starship (1000 metres cubed? ) could be filled with reactors and the ship act as a power station on Mars or the moon. Arguably better than the proposed small and simple nuclear reactors that are proposed, and the same for vast solar cell arrays.

Of course, there is the little matter of remotely controlling all the on/off switches in a way that copes with all demands. Not to mention long term reliability. These should be realizable in due course.

Hope this is helpful to you. Jean Pierre

  • Johann Schmid

    Dear Dr. Rossi,
too bad that you do not want to present your invention to politicians. Just now cheap energy is important because of expensive energy.
But to hide the ecat SSM won’t deliver you the 1 million pre-orders.
Please actively invite famous youtubers, such youtuber who make videos about electronic devices. Do not wait for someone who feel like to ask you, ask and invite them! If you have just one famous youtuber and his published test video, others will want to report and test your fantastic invention too and of course also more pre-orders will follow.
    Best regards
    Johann Schmid

  • Italo R.

    Dear Dr Rossi,
I believe the difficulty in reaching 1 million pre-orders lies in insufficient advertising.
Without reaching a wider audience, it’s impossible to tap into the potential global market.
The limited exposure, including low viewership on YouTube, is hindering its potential success.
Your responses suggest that you may not have a strong desire to bring your invention to market and sell it.
However, the Ecat in its various versions is a mature and functional product that only requires some minor improvements in design and engineering.
To maximize sales, it’s critical to raise awareness through advertising, marketing, and widespread information dissemination.
The longer it takes to make your product known, the less opportunity there is to generate significant orders.
It’s not enough to have a product with great capabilities if it remains hidden in the lab.
To be successful in sales, the Ecat must be widely recognized.
If this goal is achieved, orders will skyrocket into the hundreds of millions.

    Best Regards,
    Italo R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    Johann Schmid:
I prefer to stay well away from politics.

    Dear Dr. Rossi,
like already written by others, i wonder why politicians are not interested.
At least when you have the ecat SSM at livestream you should kidnap a politician 😉 and show him/her your invention.
I suggest you should also include politicians to your promotion by all means. Maybe you know also a friend of a friend who knows politicians directly?
    Just exhaust all posibilities!
    Best regards
    Johann Schmid

  • David Heritage

Dear Andrea, as a long term follower of and believer in your technologies, it sems curiously bizarre that all the world’s media seemk oblivious to these world-historical developments in clean and limitless energy production. This is especially true in relation to your paper on Researchgate as perhaps the most widely read scientific paper of modern times. This situation brings to mind the Hans Anderson fairy tale, “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Readers unfamiliar with that story may be interested in the plot, in which fraudsters convoince the emperor that the non-existent finely woven clothing they have woven is invisible only to fools and incompetents. The deluded emperor parades naked and everyone pretends to see his wonderful clothing, not wishing to be thought stupid. This E-Cat situation now may be an inverse example of this. Many of the world’s sciewntific authorities, many “leading” physicists, many national government organisations, are all well aware of and convinced in the reality and genuineness of the E Cat. Many remain silent as they do not wiah to be considered stupid, mothers remember the “pathological science” label used to describe original cold fusion advocates. Additionally, behind everything, it seems deeply improbable that many world military powers are not already attempting to replicate your most advanced technologies in secrecy, and of course, for the usual negative reasons, eg, military applications and advantages over real or perceived foes. Please excuse the length of this comment. The lack of media publicity is a strange pregnant silence, perhaps the quiet before the storm?.

    Dear Dr Rossi
I read with pleasure on your Blog, readers who propose “use applications” for your SKlep. Some ideas are undoubtedly interesting and to some of them he responded by saying that you are already working on it.
I think we are entering, hopefully soon, the “Ecat Era”. It is normal, for a new product like SKLep, that R&D activities are predominant, and many of his answers refer to activities of this type.
Soon, we will all be able to see, “in action”, HIS wonderful Mini SKLep SSM, we are all anxious… !!!
I would like to ask you a few questions if I may:

    1) If after a few weeks of activating the streaming you managed to reach the long-awaited million of “certified” pre-orders, would you be able to immediately start production and consequently delivery?

    2) if yes, does this mean that the “industrialized product” is already ready and therefore production could start immediately?

    3) if not, how quantifiable is the “delta T” necessary to have the “industrialized product” and producible?

    3A) 1 month?
    3B) 6 Months ?
    3C) 1 Year ?

Thanks in advance for your willingness to answer

    Regards
    Maico

    Dear Readers:
If anybody proposes to you to buy an Ecat and pre-pay in part or in total the price of it, it is important you to know that it would be a fraud.
Leonardo Corporation has not authorized anybody to collect orders asking for pre-payments.
We do not know when we will be ready to deliver, because we do not know when we will reach orders for at least 1 million units.
For this reason, we want absolutely not to collect pre-payments.
If anybody offers to sell you Ecats collecting from you pre-payments, please do not pay and inform us immediately about who he is, so we will immediately pass the issue to our attorney.
    Warm Regards,
    Andrea Rossi, CEO,
    Leonardo Corporation
