    Dear Andrea,

In Sweden there are projections that there will be a power capacity deficit in the national grid of 1700 MW at periods this coming winter. 1700 MW corresponds to 340,000 E-Cat SKL rated 5 kWel. Is it in the pipeline to mass produce and erect modularized E-Cat power stations to meet such capacity
    1) as soon as possible
    2) maybe some other winter in the future
    3) large modularized power stations are not foreseen

Kind regards and best wishes to the success of you and your team.
    Calle H

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

As I was very busy, I did not follow this forum for a long time, but maybe the anniversary of the E-Cat SKL unconsciously woke me up to come and look again?

In the past some of your Readers discussed the use of the E-Cat SKL in electrical cars, so that EV’s (Electrical Vehicles) don’t need big and expensive batteries anymore. I also thought it would be a big improvement.

But maybe a smaller, simpler and first step would be a 5kWe E-Cat SKL as a wallbox loader? My small electrical car has an actiradius of 300km and a battery with a capacity of 41kWh, so it will only take 8 hours and 12 minutes to load it from zero to full capacity (with a 5kWe E-Cat SKL wallbox loader). But as EV’s will be used more and more in the future, simultaneously loading many EV’s (from the grid) would create enormous peak-loads on the grid, so the electrical distribution companies intend to increase the price of peak-load, so they can pay for the necessary expansion of the grid. Here, where I live, they intend to increase the price of peak-load from 2022 on, I think. But to avoid this, and to avoid loading from the grid, a 5kWe E-Cat SKL wallbox loader would be a very good solution.

    Avoid Peak-Loading Regards,

  • Andrea Rossi

    Dr Rossi,
Congratulations for the German translation of your paper reported in the comment of Quinto.
Prof said in a recent comment that your publication is the first for number of readings of the 16 millions of papers published on Researchgate, but he made a mistake: 16 millions is the number of the Authors of papers published on Researchgate, not of the papers; since the average number of publications per author is 5, your paper
    http://www.researchgate.net/publication/330601653_E-Cat_SK_and_long_range_particle_interactions
is the most read of the 80 millions of papers published on Researchgate !!!
    That’s some success, my friend,
    All the best,
    Physicist

Thank you for the links and for your insight: maybe interesting for some of our Readers. The whole has nothing to do with the E-Cat technology or hypothesized theories.
The E-Cat SKL thanks you for the birthday wishes !

    Hi Andrea

I just was this intriguing article:

    https://newatlas.com/drones/ion-propelled-drone-undefined-technologies/

I know it’s a bit off topic as you are not considering flying vehicles at the moment for a number of reasons but If this works it could be interesting in years to come.

I wonder about other applications of this kind of technology though? Could it improve acoustic pollution issues for example with other machines and technolog where perhaps thrust of some kind is needed?

Who knows maybe once chemical pollution is dealt with sound pollution might be the next thing.

If you still have colleagues back in Miami this could be interesting to them I guess.

    Best Regards
    Stephen

  • Stephen

    Dear Andrea

I saw this article a few days back and thought it was interesting.

    https://phys.org/news/2020-11-previously-unknown-mechanism-electron-emission.html

I haven’t really thought it through but I can’t help wondering about this and if it’s something that can be useful to E-cat devices or perhaps some other technology that might interest your readers.

It brings to mind a set of rhetorical questions that I don’t expect answers too but might also be interesting to some.

I couldn’t help wondering about what would happen in the case where we combine this technology with Moire effects and twisted graphine or other materials such as boron nitride? I wonder if it would be possible to generate localized effects and if that would be useful in some technology.

    https://aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063/1.4863661

Could this for example enhance cluster generation in a localized way? Or would the energies 3.5 eV be too high in this case? Or is it useful in some way I recall that you take advantage of energies in the eV range I think?

Would there be AB effect implications? From these effects combined with the Moire patterns? If so could this also bring some advantage for cluster formation etc?

As always my best regards to you and your team. And Happy Birthday to e-cat SKL! Wow what a year!!!

    Dear Andrea,

One year ago, you posted the following message :
    http://www.journal-of-nuclear-physics.com/?p=892&cpage=463#comment-1417348

Today, it is the E-Cat SKL 1st birthday !
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgPRR41BkgA

Looking back at the previous 12 months of evolution, on a scale from “too easy” to “insane” (see previous video), which level did the E-Cat SKL reach 1 year after its birth ?

    Musical Regards,

    Xavier Pitz

  • Steven N. Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

I would suggest that a residential application of an eCat-SKL should be similar to residential solar panels. Solar panels produce varying amount of electrical energy using in-grid technology. Because the amount of sunlight illumination changes over the day, sometimes more power is produced by the solar panel array and the excess power is fed to the electrical grid. Other times, the solar panel array produces insufficient electrical energy for the residential home and power is supplied by the electrical grid to the home.

If an eCat-SKL were to replace the solar panel array, then the eCat-SKL could, conceptually, provide a constant level of power. Many states in the United States limit the residential solar panel production to about 15kW. So if such a bidirectional system could be developed that would feed excess electrical power to the electrical grid when the residential power demand was low and then accept electrical power from the grid when the residential electrical demand was high, such a system would be very useful.

Examples of high demand applications include: an electric vehicle (EV) home charger units which can consume up to 100 Amps at 240 VAC. Although most home EV chargers can be setup to limit their electrical draw to a lower value. Seasonal illumination, i.e., Christmas home displays, can also be high usage examples. And all electric homes where electricity is used to heat the home and hot water are other examples.

I would suggest an electrical output in the 8 kW range might be a good level to design to. An eCat-SKL outputting 192 kW-hrs per 24 hour day would be useful in reducing coal-fired electrical plants when the majority of residential homes have such a unit.

    domenico canino:

Note that Chuck Davis did not say that he needed “200 kilowatts for a house.” He actually said “200 A” with the “A” no doubt indicating Amps. Energy for a residence providing 200 Amp service is not that unusual or excessive in the US.

    Bill

  • Chuck Davis

    Dear Domenico Canino,
I bought my current home two years ago with the goal of powering it from an ecat when it becomes available so I selected all electric appliances. It is wired to accommodate a 200 A load or 44 kW (not 200 kW). When sizing an energy source you must consider a scenario that includes all of the appliances working simultaneously because most people won’t hesitate to consider “Am I going to overload my circuit breaker?”. If your villa is all-electric I seriously doubt that 6 kW would be sufficient to operate it. You must consider the worst case instantaneous load, not the average power usage reflected on your electric bill and you should include some margin. It is my hope that the ecat will be less expensive than Maxwell’s unit, if not I will probably have to consider converting my appliances to gas (a dreaded fossil fuel).

    Warm regards,
    Chuck Davis

    Dear Chuck Davis,
do you really need 200 kilowatts for a house? To me in Calabria (South Italy) 6 kilowatts would be enough. Less than 5000 dollars to be free from bills for ever. Or so much. The real key question to ask yourself about
Maxwell’s technology instead is: does it work or does it not work?
    frequency regards

    Chuck Davis,
    Thank you for the information,
    Warm Regrds,

  • Chuck Davis

Dear Andrea, Maxwell Chikumbutso wants $880 per kW for his generator so a generator for my 200 A rated home would cost $38720 plus shipping and installation! Ha, Ha, Ha! At my age I would never even break even! Oh, and it is only warranted for 2 years! He has quickly come up to speed with predatory US marketing!

    Warm regards,
    Chuck Davis

Thank you for resending your comment.
1- My former answer was related to your former comment. Perhaps I had to better explain that it is unthinkable to connect a plasma driven reactor with a portable mask, my fault: I thought it was some sort of fooling and now I understand I was wrong, therefore I apologize. Anyway: the answer to your original question is that no, it is not possible to make an Ecat applicable to a mask, whatever kind of mask it might be. That kind of job can well be made by a small battery at an irrelevant cost.
2- This blog is a forum where I give all the publicable information about the Ecat.
3- I never have been frustrated about discussions on the Ecat ( this blog published so far more that 54 000 comments, most of which related to questions and answers about the Ecat ) and I never related any breach of any governmental regulation to my work.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

    Dear Dr Rossi
Apparently you didn’t reply to my request. Could you Please clarify:
1- WHO SAID YOUR ECAT IS GOING TO BE USED DURING THE CORONA VIRUS PERIOD?
Within the last 7 years no ecat device has become available and may not be available within the next two years to be very optimistic. So one must be stupid to think that your ecat could be used in general, let alone against coronavirus within coronavirus period.
So, would you please STOP MAKING FAKE INFORMATION?
I agreed with you such that no one should make fake information, but you did it.
2- Please reply accordingly: A forum on “Ecat Engineering developments”. What is your opinion?
Just say your opinion and don’t mix it and relate it to coronavirus period in order to bypass your answer and mix it with governmental regulations?
3- Why are you so frustrated about discussions on ecat and relate it to breach of governmental regulations on coronavirus?
    ********************************************************************************

It is like a kind of falsification, diverting the main subject.
Please note that the type of active hot air face mask That, well before, I proposed to WHO, has now been designed by MIT.
    https://news.mit.edu/2020/heated-face-mask-coronaviruses-1021

I wanted to discuss possible future engineering developments for a portable 24 hour power supply of this kind of face mask under the title of “engineering developments”.
It means that your device when certified and available in future, could be a good heat or eletricity supply for it.
Fortunately they have made it to work for 4 hours(1 charge).

    Dear Andrea,

For a while I have been curious concerning why the 5kW 100cm^3 reactor size was selected for the SKL design. Was it:

    A) The optimum size for the reaction (Rossie Effect) considering electrical input/output and heat management? or

    B) The best modular sized building block to achieve various total energy levels anticipated for SKL applications?

Thanks as always for your thoughts,

    The theorretical hypothesis in
    http://www.researchgate.net/publication/330601653_E-Cat_SK_and_long_range_particle_interactions
crosses the field of Relativity in so far the ZBW has the speed of light, therefore there can be the deformations foreseen by the well known equations of the curvature of the space-time. But still I have convinced myself that there are not nuclear reactions, either cold or hot, and I derive this convinction of mine from my experiments, after 10 years of work on the Ecat and its evolution. Obviously, I can be wrong.

  • KeithT

    Dear Andrea,

In the news recently there was a report that Deutsche bank research recommends an extra 5% tax on people working from home due to Covid, as they will not be using and hence contributing to the upkeep of the country’s infrastructure. This gives an indication of how governments are likely to react to a reduction in tax revenue from changes in the energy economy.

Those who can afford to will purchase E-Cats and opt out of the electrical and gas distribution infrastructures, these infrastructures will be left with people on low income and on government benefits, the distribution infrastructure becomes effectively used and supported by government. For their own use and to support the low paid, governments are likely to require the continued existence of distribution networks, initially it will likely be a lower cost for them to maintain and upgrade existing infrastructure rather than convert all existing national and regional government buildings and facilities. So, maintenance of distribution infrastructure and centralized power production will still be required for many years, likely gradually converted to E-Cat SKL’s but still mostly centralized. Governments will find ways to tax those who go off grid to pay for what will likely become many separate reduced distribution networks.

People probably favour E-Cats for transport as they believe they will pay far less in fuel and maintenance, however part of the fuel cost is tax, governments still require the tax monies so will probably transfer taxation to the vehicle.

A significant part of national and regional government costs are for energy; lighting and heating of buildings, operation of electrical equipment, and transportation, with the prospect of lower cost energy there is the possibility that government taxes can fall, we can only hope, it is more likely that the people in control of governments will try to maintain the level of taxation and divert the money to other uses.

Throughout the production, sale and consumption of energy within the current energy economy there is taxation, taxation of peoples earnings, company taxes, sales taxes, in time as the E-Cat devices dominate worldwide, as government taxes fall from existing sources they will seek new sources, the question to be debated within governments will be; what is fair and representative taxation and where should it be targeted.
