    Dear Andrea

Harbour Air in Vancouver BC just flew a test flight of a fully electric Beaver float plane with a range of 160 km. They hope within 2 years to fully electrify their fleet. Sounds like an Ecat SKL application waiting to happen.

  • Hi Andrea:

I believe I am correct in saying that you have stated that the energy catalysed by your E-cats comes from neither release of chemically-bound energy nor from conversion of matter into energy. Clearly, this is a very exciting prospect.

    A) If it comes from neither of those sources, are you able to explain, in a manner comprehensible to those of us with negligible knowledge of nuclear physics, where this energy had been located prior to being catalysed into existence by your E-cats?

    B) It used to be said that: “Energy can be neither created nor destroyed.”

This was later modified with the addition of: “except in a nuclear reaction.”

In light of your experimental results, should a further modification be added to this statement and, if so, what should that modification be? Or, instead, should the statement be thrown out altogether on the basis that energy can indeed be ‘created’?

    C) Might the phenomenon be reversible?

Thank you for your continued attention to all these questions from your fans.

    Energetically creative regards,

    Rodney.

    Dear Dr Rossi,
You replied that the ratio of heat/electricity could be dialed in on the controller for the E-Cat SKL.
Can you also choose AC vs DC, and if so can you choose 110V vs 220V?
    Best regards,
    Iggy Dalrymple

    Dear Andrea,

A few hours after your latest big announcement about the E-Cat SKL, I posted the following comment :
    http://www.journal-of-nuclear-physics.com/?p=892&cpage=463#comment-1417506 .
I know you were super busy at that time and in the following hours/days answering the hundreds of other positive comments that your announcement sparked, so you probably missed my post (and a few others).
Be sure that I take no offense about this.

So I just want to repeat this, to be sure you see it at least once 🙂 :
Congratulations about your latest achievement ! – To you and your wonderful team.
I am so happy for you and share this happiness with all the readers of the JoNP 🙂

The main question that I had at the time was about the max. possible electricity/heat ratio achievable by the e-cat.
In the meantime I also got the answer : (70-80%)/(30-20%). – I was impressed !

In a car geting rid of the 30% of heat may be an issue (especially if the e-cat form factor is very compact), but it isn’t something engineering can’t solve.
When you compare this to the heat having to be dissipated from the most efficient diesel car engine (45% efficiency, so 55% heat), this shouldn’t be a big issue.

A few day later I saw this other comment :
“A weight of 10-20 kg for an assembly of 20 kW is reasonable.” – Again, I was impressed.
When you compare this to the “dead” mass of a car battery pack of 500 kg and its associated cost, you start to ask yourself the question if future e-cat powered vehicles will require a battery at all.
Depending on the e-cat cost and its reactivity to respond to electrical loads (which seems to be in the orders of seconds),
I think we may see big battery packs being replaced by way smaller and lighter ultracapacitors only being there to cover the few peak accelerations as the e-cat modules themselves will be able to cover most of (99%+) of the electrical motor load (and top-off the ultracaps for the next accelerations in the background).

How far stretched from the possible future reality does it sounds to you ?

I can’t wait to learn more about the full specifications of the basic “1 liter” (10*10*10cm) e-cat SKL building brick.
I think it will be revealed as being a masterpiece.

Keep up the excellent work !

    Best Regards,

    Xavier Pitz

  • Gerard McEk

    Dear Andrea,
    1. I think that most of us expected you to work on the ECat SKL to resolve the issues that obviously take place on a first prototype. But you said you are not. In another answer to me you said you are still very occupied by R&D and I assume that you do not want to say in what direction you are researching the ECat SKL further, but do you think it is feasible to electrically drive multiple Ecat SK’s (say a MW output) with a single ECat SKL and generating that amount of heat without any electrical connection to the grid?
    2. On the other hand, the SKL seems so flexible that there may be no need to further produce ECat SK’s in the future. What do you think?
    Thanks, kind regards, Gerard.

  • Svein Henrik

    Dear Andrea

Thank you for your information on the production cost relationship between SK and SKL. Knowing that SKL is only 25% more expensive to produce than the SK, and at the same time about 75% of its output energy can be emitted as electricity, shows its financial superiority.
If SKL, as suggested, also is easier to regulate, this will be a fantastic product. Reliability will develop as with other technical innovations.
If I today, could buy an EV with an accumulator with a size of 1/4 part of a regular one, with an SKL providing 20 kW and a gasoline engine connected to a generator with the same performance, as the reserve if the SKL failed, this would be very environmentally friendly and reliable product.
As soon as fully satisfactory reliability is achieved by SKL, delivery of gasoline engine will be unnecessary.
    Best regards Svein Henrik.

    Dr. Rossi,
I wait for your verification and demonstration with the highest expectations. You and your team have created a miracle with the help of almighty God. WILL the e-Cat- SKL be affordable to the small business owner and the middle class individual home owner of a average size home. I realize there will be certifications required but with all that out of the way will it be affordable.?

  • Andrea Rossi

    Dear Andrea,

Is it possible that the little blue box will be installed within the big blue box to power it?

  • Gerard McEk

    Dear Andrea,
Sorry to read that the ECat SK Leonardo has shown an insufficiently stable behavior.
    Please, can you tell:
    1. How is the progress in improving on that?
    2. What kind of stability do you want to reach before the test in January? Stable during: a. days,b. weeks,c. months, d years?
    3. Reading you need a AI to control the electrical output of the Leonardo, implies very complex control characteristics, depending on many variables. Does the controller in the ‘cigarette box’ contain this complex AI hardware and software?
    4. Is the fact that you feed your controller with generated electricity of the Leonardo to obtain SSM part of the problem? If that is the case, I would suggest to include a robust rechargeable battery from which the controller is fed, to better decouple the electrical energy flows. However, i’m sure you and your team know this.
    Thanks for answering our question.
I hope you find a solution quickly. Kind regards, Gerard

  • Frank Acland

    Dear Andrea,

    1. Has it been determined yet when the third party testing of the SKL will start?
    2. How long will the testing go on for?

    Many thanks,

    Frank Acland

  • Frank Hoffmann

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

since now almost eight years I am planning to replace the oil central heating system within my house with your E-Cat. As the existing system now is more than 30 years old I am forced by german law to replace it within the next two years. Corresponding to this time frame: From your point of view, does keep on waiting make sense for me or should I change plans?

    Kind regards, Frank Hoffmann

  • Svein Henrik

    Dear Andrea
Upgrading of old power may Power generator may be a marked for at least the SK.
Exelon ($35 billion revenues) saw the potential of the Allam Cycle and became an equity partner of Rodney Allam (76) after months of due diligence. “We usually don’t make investments this far upstream,” says Ron De Gregorio, president of Exelon Power. He’ll be spending many billions in the coming years to upgrade Exelon’s vast fleet of aging power plants.

May be a presentation of the SK also will catch their interest.
    Regards Svein Henrik

  • Svein Henrik

What will be the production cost ratio of SK / SKL for the same power outlet?

    Best regards Svein Henrik

  • Andrea Rossi

    Svein Henrik:
    1 yes
2 no, because in the SK it is not necessary
    Warm Regards,

    Dear Andrea Rossi

I have just been doing my Christmas tree lights and had an interesting thought.

You have mentioned that the E- cat SKL can bd connect in parallel or seriies in as large a constellation as you like.

I’m wondering if in large constellations if should fail of under perform if there would be an impact on the others in the constellation like the Christmas tree lights.

I suppose like the Christmas tree it led a matter wiring. But perhaps also impacts the fluid piping used for thermal heat transfer and the digital cabling for the logic control of the units.

Any way seasonal Regards fir the coming weeks.

For some fun . I’m sure you have seen it already though: I think someone here suggested using the E-cat SKL to power your Christmas tree. Did you see that amazing video of an E-eel controlling the lights of another tree that s been doing the rounds:

  • Svein Henrik

    Deare Andea.
Will there be a difference in production cost between SK and SKL at the same energy capacity?
Will the new AI controller be suitable for use with both?
    Best regards Svein Henrik

  • Andrea Rossi

    Italo R.:
SKL is already an evolution of the SK. What you say id reachable with a combination of both.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Andrea Rossi

    John B:
    No
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Italo R.

    Dear Dr. Rossi,

Would it be possible to make the E-Cat SK capable of SSM using the experience made on SKL?
In this way there would be two fondamental E-Cat models in SSM:

a – SK with predominantly thermal output-
b – SKL with predominantly electrical output.

These two E-Cat models would cover ALL the needs of humanity.

    Sincerely,
    Italo R.

  • Alessandro Coppi

Hi Andrea, the residual lacking of reliability that seem hard to resolve, could be related to an external fluctuation of not controllable and non observable conditions?

    Best regards
