Regarding our request for a 6MW generator (January -9 at 11.07 and your response at 11.37) we decided to move on to a preliminary design of the new plant which could be based on seven independent 1 MW modules. each: 6 in operation and one in reserve, not working.
Our main problem is that we have to generate a preheating temperature of about 900 ° C (about 1 module) and a main temperature of 1450 ° C ± 50 ° C (5 modules). It was easy with methane a little less easy using an electric current.
We are waiting to see installed some independent system that can be examined and evaluated before contacting you to arrive at concluding a possible executive order.

Assuming warp drives are not achievable, could the skLep(s) be coupled with a cyclotron (or equivalent) to accelerate hydrogen (from onboard stored water) to near light speed, increasing its momentum and mass (due to near light speed effects) and that used for thrust in a space craft? The associated electron with the hydrogen ion could also be accelerated and used to generate thrust? Thoughts? Obviously, a long-term effort… If possible, this would yield a very high Specific Impulse.

You mention 600K orders in 40 days. However, Andrea reported hitting 600K orders Jan 6, which is only 28 days.
Why is this important? From Dec. 27 to Jan. 6, the orders were coming in at a bit over 30K/day rate, with no indication of hitting 700K since then. If that trend continued, we would now see close to 900K orders (879K to be precise). In a response to my Jan. 13 post Andrea wrote he would will update the numbers “when it will be worth it”, but said he still had not reached 700K in the week from Jan. 6 to Jan. 13.
I would appear Andrea has still not reached 700K (no “worth it” update yet). So the order rate since Jan. 6 is down to an average of less than 10K per day at the absolute best.
I **REALLY** hope I am wrong, but my fear is that the order rate will continue to erode to a point it jeopardizes the 1 million target worst case, or push out the date for starting production to many many months instead of weeks.
Why might this happen? IMO The following hypothesis is a good fit to the order data. The core ECAT community was waiting for any sign of life of a real product for sale, and jumped on placing orders. It basically did not matter what the quality of the presentation was, the core community was going to place orders. The reward to risk ration is a gigantic number. So the presentation was indeed “good enough”….that is good enough for the core community. Now orders from this core community customer base are close to being exhausted, and orders will only trickle in.
One must be careful about correlation and cause and effect. If B is the root cause of correlation of A to B and C to B, then A and C are correlated but there is no cause and effect between the two. In this hypothesis, B is the fact that Andrea announced he is taking pre-orders, A is the product presentation, C is the quantity of orders.
If this hypothesis is correct, than the existence of SKLep needs to get to the world outside of the core ECAT community to reach the 1 million target in a timely fashion. This actually was my prime motivation for my “Join the Team” post of January 1, 2022 at 4:12 PM since I had already predicted to myself the fall off of the orders.
Andrea and community need to monitor the order rate carefully. At some point, if this order rate erosion continues, Andrea and the core community needs to get more active in sharing the SKLep with the world at large. A more polished presentation at that time would help a lot.
There is a fundamental adage in business…”hope is not a strategy”.
Electric motors, air conditioners, etc have a startup peak power that lasts a fraction of a second and is higher than the running power. Should it be considered when calculating maximum power consumption needed for an SKLed system?

I am another potential customer that is disappointed by your decision to abandon the SKled device. While I see the logic of substituting a general usage component for a device targeted to a specific function, there’s another difference that you may not have considered (and is the cause of my disappointment). The SKled was a complete solution to a class of problems: generating bright light with low operating cost. The customer could expect to receive the device, perhaps add a power cord, and put it to use within hours, if not minutes. The SKlep, on the other hand, is a component. For most of the applications described by other posters here, it will need to be combined (perhaps in multiples) with other devices, thus meeting a specific need. This will require the customer to have a detailed understanding of the SKlep technical specifications, which seem to be very flexible, as well as the appropriate engineering skills. You offer the necessary information, but only “just before the deliveries”. This prevents the potential customer from designing the rest of the system ahead of time and, in turn, may influence a purchase decision.
But I just wanted a white light, very bright, very efficient, cool running, and with a continuous spectrum so that it could be filtered to project a specific color. For 10 times the once-offered cost of the SKled that had these properties, I could now order an SKlep, but I don’t have the skills required to turn it into the functional equivalent of an SKled. I infer that this would require obtaining a suitable solid-state LED and a current-regulating driver circuit, perhaps some optics, and an appropriate container. I wouldn’t know where to start.
Perhaps one of your people, or another reader here, could provide instructions for turning an SKlep into a (rather expensive) SKled, for those of us who have such an application.
