Modern ideas presume that the nucleon has a complex structure. Accordingly, one should not expect simple and exact formulas for the above quantities in future theory. Still, if we suppose that future theory possesses hidden symmetry then there possibly exist simple formulas for the magnetic moments, since in quantum theory, symmetries normally generate comparatively simple formulas involving integer numbers. The hypothesis can be verified by a simple, but not at all obvious, method of numerical analysis of the experimental data.
Based on it, we find simple phenomenological formulas for the magnetic moments of the proton and neutron with 10 valid digits. We also obtain a compact formula for the relation of the electron’s anomalous moment to the summary magnetic moment of the nucleon with 11 valid digits, and propose dependencies of the neutron and proton masses in electron mass units as functions with argument π.

    Oren Unsworth:
Yes, absolutely. 3D printing is a technology that will be used to produce parts of the E-Cats, I think.
Very interesting this application by NASA, thank you for the information.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Dr Andrea Rossi:
A Team of NASA is prototyping and designing aircrafts using 3D printed parts. The prototype aircraft re constructed using components from Aerovironment RQ-14 Dragon Eye unmanned aerial vehicles ( UAVs).
Do you think this technology can be useful also to make E-Cats?

    Carpwndpc :
As I already wrote in this blog, electron capture in LENR is unsustainable. Never saw experimentally ( I mean serious experiments, not experiments where the results are within the error margin of the instrumentation and the set up) is barred theoretically from the fact that it can happen only to atoms with a strong excess of protons, that in LENR do not exist.
Besides, this hypothesys violates physical laws that any professional physicist knows, starting from the nature of virtual particles and their lifespan and the mathematics that are consequence of this.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

    Dr Andrea Rossi:
After the ICCF somebody says that “electron capture” can be a good theory for LENR.
What do you think? In the theoretical paper you wrote in collaboration with Prof. Norman Cook you do not talk at all of electron capture: why?

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

Just giving you some info from the stars…
maybe you can make a new link in your current research.
    WEBSITE: http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2013/Cavallo/comments.html

A crop picture at Cavallo Grigio in Italy on June 30, 2013 shows a novel nuclear fusion reaction, as sulphur S-32 + hydrogen H-1 + deuterium D-2 > potassium K-41, which could provide abundant clean electricity for everyone on Earth
Today we rely almost entirely on oil or gas for our electricity generating systems, with the occasional use of water or wind. Nuclear fission is very dangerous, as evidenced by the radioactive disasters at Chernobyl or Fukushima, while nuclear fusion from hydrogen to helium is still a “pipe dream”, and lies far off in our future, if it is possible at all.
A new crop picture at Cavallo Grigio in Italy on June 30, 2013 shows what could be the solution to our planetary energy problems, although the nuclear science illustrated there is not present in any current textbooks on Earth. It would still have to be tested, to determine whether it actually works? An unknown but helpful crop artist has suggested that we may try to fuse sulphur S-32 into potassium K-41, through the stepwise addition of hydrogen H-1, deuterium D-2, plus six other protons or neutrons.

Question for you Andrea sir. Have you ever read up on the book Particle Mechanics, The Theory of Energy States by an almost unknown author Dannel Roberts?

His Book introduces what has been called the Key Ring Atom Theory. In his hypothesis which of course is refuted by the scientific community for challenging the current atomic model, he believes that the atom consists of a completely different structure. To describe it would take a week of typing so i’ll summarize.

Take a hydrogen atom with one proton and a single electron orbiting in the standard model. The Key Ring Atom Theory hypothesizes that the atomic structure of that same hydrogen model would consist of a proton ring and and an electron rings rotating around the proton ring but connect much like a link of a chain. More complex atoms simply follow this pattern, but instead of consisting of single protons or neutrons, the core components of an atom are a series of interconnected proton/neutron rings.

Now i would have normally glanced at this and ignored it as hogwash if it were not for the obvious and inherent issues we run into with the standard model of an atom. After all isn’t that where quantum mechanics was birthed? Looking closely at Dannel Roberts theory of atomic structure i realized that it very effectively can account for any anomalies encountered in our standard model. In fact it passes 12 out of 12 tests of atomic behavior that compares to the standard model passing 2 out of 12 of those same tests. It effectively negates the need for the black smoke variable we call Strong Force in the atomic model.

I’m not necessarily promoting this theory as it has yet to be accepted but using this model, LENR is easily explained. I’ve written a synopsis of the Key Ring Atom Theory at (http://revolution-green.com/introduction-of-the-key-ring-atom/) if you find time in your busy schedule to do a little research.

Thanks for all your hard work and I am grateful for your efforts and sacrifices on your quest to make the world a safer, cleaner, and energy independent place.

    Dear Andrea

    1) Are there any progress on the electricity generation?
    2) Do you consider this period (february-march) with the upcoming report and the plant delivery, as the definitive breakthrough for your technology?
It seems to me that in these very weeks you are making history! so hold on and never give up, NEVER! With all my heart I wish you good work and good luck! Mr. Rossi

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I had a few additional questions if you feel comfortable answering them. What type of reactors are these factories making? The “warm” E-cats or the Hot-Cat? Are there existing customers with orders pending for these devices?

  • Andrea Rossi

    Dear Brian:
Our factories are in the USA. We have a R&D center in Italy, wherein we also manufacture prototypes. We are programming a manufacturing center in Sweden. All the other information are confidential, let alone the photos.
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Brian

    Mr. Rossi

I was wondering if you could give us any more detail about your factories. Are they in the US? How are the E-Cats being assembled? By hand? Are the persons in charge of manufacturing aware of the IP involved or just following instructions by rote? Would it be possible for us to see some pictures of the factory?

  • Andrea Rossi

    Dear Steven N. Karels:
1- we are working very strong to manufacture our plants. In our factories the work has never been so intense as it is in this period. Therefore the E-Cats, that soon will hit the market, will not fade, be sure. If there is around somebody saying the contrary, let them talk, while we work.
2- the report of the indipendent third party will be published, as I always said. Whatever the result
3- the efficiency and the convenience of the E-Cats is very simple to measure: the Customer looks how much energy consumes and how much energy produces: it is not difficult.
4- in a separated comment you asked issues regarding, again, what happens inside the reactor: as I already explained to you, I cannot give information about what happens inside the reactor.
    Thank you for your attention,
    Warm Regards,
    A.R.

  • Steven N. Karels

    Dear Andrea Rossi,

It seems like little is going on the eCat world. (I know you are busy but this is the preception.) You are waiting for the independent report/evaluation of the eCat by scientists not under your control and thus you have no say when and if they will issue a report, either favorable or unfavorable. I know scientists are loath to issue a report unless they understnad the basic physics operation of the device. This report may never see the light of day. Meanwhile, your critics say the eCat was false and will fade into the past. Perhaps you should run your own demonstration to re-light the peolpe’s interest. Others have suggested the “Holy Grail” of a Hot eCat generating sufficient electricity that it is self-sustaining plus some excess power demonstrated continuously for a long period of time, more than could be done by chemical means. I know you have an industrial plant soon to be functioning but that will be hard to demonstrate self-sufficiency as it must perform its industrial function and, as such, is not ideally suited to scientific investigation. This is not to convince the detractors and critics. They will never change their minds. This is to ignite the world’s imagination. Please consider this.

  • Dear Andrea Rossi,

For what it concern your unpretentious answer, if a scientist finds a way to substitute fossil fuels with a non polluting form of energy I am 100% positive you can tell he is the one who will save our world (planet earth) from the environmental disaster we are experiencing at this time.

I hope the e-cat will find its way to mass distribution as soon as possible in order to stop the extraordinary damages that fossil fuels are doing to our planet, first of all to the climate change process, even if it might be too late to reverse it although the e-cat might eventually help to stop it.

Secondly the economic impact of such a device will give world economy the chance of being restarted. And not just that. It’s my personal opinion the e-cat will bring structural changes to the world economy because it can be considered the most affordable energy source ever. This means that in developing countries, businesses and private individuals will have the chance to cut their energy budget and the money they save will be massively spent and re-invested.

We will assist to a real economic blossoming in micro and macroeconomic scale, a never-seen-before phenomenon of resource sharing will take off and will literally boost the global economy while saving the environment.

I won’t exclude the Vatican might name you as saint.

Best Wishes of a light speed success!

    Michael Schneider,

I am not an expert on Tar Sands, Shale Oil or Petrochemical Engineering.

If E-Cats were to go on sale tomorrow, it will still take several decades before mankind can convert to a primarily LENR economy. And LENR heat to electrical energy conversion (or using the “Carnot Cycle”), while now possible, has yet to be demonstrated. (Maybe it is just a simple replacement of heat sources, using the same turbines.)

In the next 20 to 30 years, therefore, charts on the comparative fuel Energy Returns on Investment (EROI), suggest we should use Hydroelectric or Coal instead of oil or gas.

The parameter “EROI” means it takes energy to produce energy. And there is an “Energy Cliff” which means that, in the interim, the world will need the resources of tar sands and oil shale. Thermal in-situ processing of shale and tar sands is LESS damaging than current processing techniques.

Anyway, it will be an interesting ride.

Thank you for your question. The next several decades require the use of all energy sources in an intelligent and environmentally responsible way.

At least LENR has no Carbon-Dioxide footprint.

    Dear Andrea
Allow me to further develop the argument relating to the transmutations
that occur in the Earth’s mantle, although incumbent on the forum topics far more serious
and relevant. However I will try to formulate a hypothesis on the origin of the oceans.
It is possible that an endothermic reaction due to the piezoelectricity of the crystals of the mantle,
for the presence of oxygen (the mantle is formed for the 44.8% oxygen content of the silicates) and hydrogen (…materialization of ether?), is the cause of the genesis of ocean water?
According to this hypothesis the deep hydrothermal vents do not recycle then only the water of the oceans above but Introduce primordial water brought up from the deep mantle.. if the earth is expanding this seems to me a good explanation on the formation of the oceans.
I think anyone would check with a simple experiment:A vase of quartz containing perovskites , hydrogen and oxygen , subjected to high temperatures, should produce water.

  • Michael Schneider

    Dear Dr Joseph Fine,

Concerning tarsand application of the ecat, I have my financial and ecological doubts. From my understanding ecat/Lenr should allow us to change our energy economy from a predominantly hydrocarbon based one to a H based one. H (or methane) could be produced with heat/electricity from the ecat/Lenr reactions. Cars/trucks would drive with electricity (battery Li), H (fuelcells or classic combustion engines), ships and maybe trucks with steamengines+ecat. Private and public housing would be heated by Ecat or classically by methane (generated by ecat/Lenr heat) or urban heat networks. Classic hydrocarbons (oil) would only be used for production of plastics, and tarsands for tar (roads etc).

The environmental damage of mining tarsands is so huge that it only pays off with very high energy prices. If Lenr takes off, all classic energy forms should be way to costly to exploit, be it tarsands, deepoil drilling or gas frakking , fission nuclear energy, because :
1/ to expensive compared to Lenr energy
2/ civil society will not accept the pollution/ pollution risk anymore there being an alternative

Dear Mister Rossi, you have a lot of responsibility in your hands…
I wish you all the best.

Dr. Rossi: Thanks again for answering our questions, I know your time is valuable. There has been much speculation on many sites about whether you have given up more than 50% of ownership/control of your E-Cat invention. Could you tell us if you are in control, have the final say, about your E-cat invention?
